Ultra-Power Fighter
After Valeria left, it was just me and the small slave in the room.
The slave stood there, staring straight at me.
Smaller than Risha or Mira, with little expression on her face.
“First off, what’s your name?”
“Yuria.”
A flat voice answered.
“Yuria? Looks like you’re an Eternal Slave too, huh.”
“Yeah.”
“Ah, so we’re gonna be working together from now on.”
“Yes.”
Her voice was flat, emotionless.
Silence settled between us. We just stared at each other.
It felt awkward. I stood up and walked out of the room.
I wandered through the manor, then entered another room.
There were stacks of paper there.
Requests from the people of this Rebeck town—things they wanted me to do, make, fix.
In other words, my duties as lord.
I picked up a few sheets, stared at them.
Which one should I tackle first?
Muttering.
The first sheet’s from a townsman living in the north district—says the wall got smashed in the last fight and needs fixing.
The second’s about fixing a chronic shortage of drinking water.
And the third? A kid’s sick. Needs fixing, too.
Broken walls. Dirty water. Sick children.
All things that could be sorted in a flash—but there’s too much, all piled up. Where the hell do I even start?
“Huh…”
Grumbling, Yuria stepped up from the side.
“Let me see.”
“Huh? Oh.”
I handed her the paper.
She stared at it, then picked up the rest and studied them too.
“Master…”
“Huh?”
“You’re supposed to be able to do anything.”
“Yeah.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Anything. Strictly speaking, as long as my magic holds out, I can do anything.”
"Yeah."
Yuria nodded, then began sorting through the papers.
Reading each one, she separated them according to some unseen standard.
When she finished, she looked up at me.
"Yes."
"Hmm?"
"I sorted them to make things easier."
She handed me a bundle of the sorted papers.
I took it and flipped through them. I flipped through another bundle too.
"Wow, they're really well sorted."
"Doing it this way, we can get things done efficiently."
"Right... right, we still need to prepare food for five hundred people. If we're using magic to make it, where should we put it?"
"Here, then."
Yuria pointed to another bundle of papers.
I set down the one I was holding and picked up the one she indicated.
"Then let's start with this one."
"Alright."
Yuria gave a terse nod, as usual.
Hmm. No magical charge, not even a flicker.
☆
I ran through the town with Yuria, handling the lord’s duties as we went.
Thanks to her having pre-categorized everything, I was able to get through it all efficiently.
"Lord... I’ve got a small favor to ask."
Another request, too—Yuria listened and sorted it for me.
Nothing like the frantic scrambling Risha and Mira had been doing.
☆
In the late afternoon, she returned to the manor.
"Menu open"

Pull out the Doreca and check it.
The sudden spike was because we’d mass-produced Pusini all at once, to help Valerya.
And her magic reserves had dropped significantly.
The times when the card limit was maxed out and causing a cap had decreased significantly.
The magic power won’t recover on its own. I looked at Yuria.
"Good work."
"Not tired at all."
She really is the unkind kind of reply.
“Nah, I’m fine. Thanks to Yuria.”
“Mm.”
“Want me to do something in return? Anything you need?”
“Nah.”
Yuria answers curtly.
I ruffled her hair.
Made her a dress of light.
Spent a good chunk of magic making all sorts of sweets too.
…Then tried a reverse chop to her forehead.
Tried a few things. Magic wouldn’t charge at all.
Hmm. Tough nut.
“Master, I’m back.”
Risha returned. She’d been working on another task. Her eyes zeroed in on the leftover sweets, practically drooling.
“…You can eat them.”
“Thank you so much!”
——Magic charged by 3,000.
Hmm. Risha’s straightforward.
Sure, it’s a loss, but now I know giving sweets gives this much charge.
Meanwhile, Yuria remains just as aloof as ever.
What the hell would even charge her magic, though?
"Um... my lord..."
"What?"
"I hope you won't think me a shameless slave for asking such a thing..."
"Huh?"
"I-I mean, about the collar..."
"The collar? Ah, this one?"
Pulls the collar from his pocket—the one he’d confiscated as punishment. So that’s what’s been bothering her.
The punishment was mostly for Mira… and honestly, even that was just "admiring a slave," so returning it wasn’t really a problem.
Hmm, which one should I give her, I was thinking...
—Clank.
A sound. I look over. Yuria’s eyes are wide open, fixed on me.
For the first time since we met, she’s showing a clear expression.
Her gaze… is locked on the collar.
Wants the collar… no, she definitely wants it.
What kind of slave, what kind of Eternal Slave, is this.
Of course she wants the collar.
"Idiot. I should’ve noticed sooner."
"Huh?"
Muttering with a hint of self-derision, I watch Risha blink in confusion.
"Menu open. Yuria, what color do you want?"
"Huh?"
"The collar's gem color— I’ll let you pick."
"——! R-really?!"
"Yep."
"Then... then white, please."
"Good."
I channel magic, drawing the rune pattern onto the collar.
"I’ll help!"
"Wait."
I stop Risha, who instinctively starts moving.
"What is it, Master?"
"I’m gathering the materials."
"Master... you?"
"Yep. It’s my slave’s collar. I’m making it myself."
"——Yes!"
Risha nods vigorously.
——Magic charged: 1,000.
"Stay right there."
"Yes."
Yuria, eyes wide with childish excitement, practically vibrating with anticipation.
The others barely react—but Yuria’s the type to go all in when she does.
——Magic charged: 2,000,000.
The moment I handed over the collar, she broke into an impossibly cute smile.
