Saikouji Industry is a heavy industry manufacturer under the Saikouji Company, primarily engaged in the development and manufacturing of spacecraft.

Ship development is divided among multiple departments: two departments handle military spacecraft development and manufacturing, one department is dedicated to commercial vessels, and another handles various other craft such as personal leisure vessels—totaling four distinct departments.

Departments One and Two, responsible for military vessel development and manufacturing, primarily focus on military destroyers and cruisers, which hold a 47 percent market share among such vessels within the Aknelia Galactic Federation Space Force.

In contrast, their share of larger warships and aircraft carriers is less than 10 percent, and development and production of large vessels are currently on hold.

Military warships embody the passion and dedication of developers within each department, particularly evident in ship names, which reflect the unique preferences of each department. The first department primarily uses names derived from ancient Japanese ship names, while the second department favors names inspired by mythical creatures and monsters.

Its name, Yatagarasu, reflects the dedication and romantic ideals of the First and Second Departments.
