56. Interlude 2 / In the Divine Realm 2

Here is Firumia’s white control chamber. Firumia and Isanamia are in the middle of a routine world check.

Nothing unusual at the moment, it seems. Shiro should be arriving in town soon, too.

And, Firumia.

"Speaking of which"

And Isanamia speaks to Firumia.

Master Satias came by again—asked about microbial behavior in the fourth-generation system.

“Shestia again?” Firumia said.

"Yeah. About DNA-based microbes and Od interference, and the possibility of Od phase transitions."

And Isanamia explained.

“Huh... really specialized, or maybe just unusual content,” Firumia said. And then,

What on earth is she trying to do?

And I mutter, suspiciously, to myself.

Odo phase transition refers to Odo transforming into mana, magical energy, or miasma.

"Alright, I don’t get my master’s thinking, but did she stumble on some interesting research topic? Master Satias’s been digging into the fourth generation lately, seems like."

And, Isanamia said lightly.

"Yeah? Feels suspicious, though."

muttered Firumia, her expression one of disbelief.

"Something about DNA-based microbes interfering with Odo... feels off, you know?"

And, Isanamia thinks, there was something like that before... Then,

Well, whatever... Microbes. Fermentation. Fermentation means miso, soy sauce. That's it! I'll send some miso and soy sauce to Shiro!

And so, Isanamia completely shifted gears, beginning to ponder what gift to give Shiro next.
