**Dig 38: The Wolf Girl Also Plays a Part**

Nice to meet you, I’m Tori. For this installment, I’ll be narrating the story of our dungeon’s management from my perspective.
Having said that, the current topic Yuki-san is discussing—the rooms for the residents—is being led primarily by Ratz-san, Eris-san, and Milly-san. We Beastmen and the children haven’t really been able to participate much.
I, too, am grateful to Yuki-san and want to help in any way I can, but… I’m not very bright, so these kinds of things are my weak point. I’m much better at moving my body, you see.
"Hey, Tori. Shouldn't we say something too? I don't want Yuki-san to think we're useless," Riel, a Cat Beastman, says to me, her cat ears drooping.
She must want to help Yuki-san in her own way as well.
"Hmm… but Eris-san and the others are discussing it so thoroughly… do you think we have any good ideas?"
"…But, but… even if I’m not good with muscle, I still want to help. I don't think it's right to leave it all to just Yuki-san and Eris-san."
I understand exactly what Riel is saying. Yuki-san always says that it’s about putting the right person in the right place, and that we have our own roles where we shine, so there’s no problem if we can’t contribute here.
Even so, he lets us participate in these meetings and gives us a place to voice our opinions. That is exactly why it’s so frustrating not to be able to help at a time like this.
"Hey, Kaya, do you have any good ideas?" Riel asks Kaya, who has been leisurely sipping cocoa until now.
Kaya is a Fox Beastman, and unlike us, she specializes in magic-based combat. I hold out hope that she might have a good idea from a different perspective.
"…None. The talk is already settled on preparing private rooms. If we interject clumsily now, the discussion will just go back to square one."
Kaya doesn't seem to like talking much, but she clearly listens well. It seems her opinion is that we shouldn't push the issue of the rooms any further.
"So Kaya's no help either, huh? But, while I think private rooms are nice, I don't really feel embarrassed about anything when I'm with everyone here. Especially since Tori and Kaya are Beastmen, too. If we do something weird, you'd just accept it as a 'habit,' right?"
"…I think so too. But it’s true that private rooms are more convenient. I want to decorate my room with this photo. …It’s a treasure."
I understand what Riel is saying. We’ve lived together until now, so I have no complaints. But, as Kaya said, I want to display the photo I just received from Yuki-san in my own private room.
Me and Yuki-san, me with Riel and Kaya, me with everyone, me with Aslin…
There are so many. It would be a nuisance to display all of these in a shared room. I have ten photos of just myself alone. If someone were to accidentally throw them away or crumple them, I’d be furious.
"Hmm, but we want private rooms because we have things we want to keep to ourselves, right? People coming here for the first time aren't necessarily like that…"
"…That’s what Yuki said. He wants people to buy things for themselves and experience the convenience of a private room."
It seems Riel is also reluctant to give up the shared room. Wait, now that I think about it, are Aslin and the others going to live alone in private rooms from now on?
"Um, Yuki-san. I have a question."
"Hm? Do you have a good idea, Tori?"
"No, you said you were going to give us private rooms, right? Does that include Aslin and the others?"
"Ah, naturally. Aslin and the others will each have a room, too."
"Does that mean… we won't be sleeping with Aslin and the others anymore?"
"Well, they have their own rooms. There’s no reason to sleep together, right?"
When Yuki-san replied like that, Aslin and the others froze.
"N-no wayyy!! I want to sleep with Big Brotherrr!!"
"Big Brother, I don't need a private room!! I want to be togetherrr!!"
"…Oh, oh dear. Yuki, you should think a bit more about how you phrase things."
Aslin and Firia began to wail, clinging to Yuki-san.
"Sorry, sorry. Come on, stop crying. It’s not like you *can't* sleep together. Just because you have your own room doesn't mean you're forbidden from coming to mine."
Yuki-san said that, patting Aslin and Firia’s heads to calm them down.
"Um, I know I’m the one who brought this up, but I’d like you to listen. I don't think it's necessary to force private rooms on everyone like Aslin and the others. Sometimes, it’s better to stay with the people you’ve been living with until now."
When I said that, Eris-san seemed to grasp my intent and spoke to Yuki-san.
"…I see. Tori-san’s point is also valid. We agreed to the benefits of private rooms, but if you ask if we dislike our current shared rooms, the answer is no. Why not offer private rooms only to those who request them?"
"That’s true. We have children like Aslin coming, too. We’ll need spaces where they can live together."
"In that case, Big Brother, why not make private rooms a paid rental? In a sense, it becomes a privilege for those who work hard, and it’s necessary for people who want to live with their loved ones. Well, it would effectively be split into personal use and family use."
"I agree with Ratz’s suggestion. We can set private rooms as a future goal. We can start by giving people shared rooms like ours, which would be useful for teaching them the life and rules here. If someone doesn't want to move to a private room, they can stay in the shared room and act as mentors for the new residents."
Eris-san and Ratz-san organized my thoughts and explained them clearly. I’m truly grateful for meetings like this. Even someone without an education like me is listened to properly.
"Big Brother. Also, rather than building houses specifically for 300 people, shouldn't we build private and shared rooms that can accommodate 1,000 people, keeping the future in mind?"
