"As Ratz said, for the next two years, my husband will be surrounded by strange dangers, and we must also be wary of the shadows of suspicious women. This isn't good for the child I might be carrying, nor is it good for the upbringing of the children who will be born hereafter."
And so, it was decided that a wife specializing in the husband's protection was necessary.
A standard guard would not suffice.
What was essential was a wife with the authority to intervene in her husband's private affairs.
Of course, that wife would be allowed to share in her husband's love and bear his children, but that would only come after we had settled matters.
"Then, how shall we decide on this wife?"
"Indeed. The absolute minimum requirement is that she loves Brother from the bottom of her heart."
"That is truly the bare minimum. I won't permit it unless she also has the physical strength to back it up!"
"Since she is the Master's guard, she must be a user of recovery arts on par with or better than me."
"Um, I think she needs to have a strong will to protect Yuki-san, otherwise it won't work."
"Tori is right. It would be meaningless if she let Yuki-san push her around and abandoned her post."

Time passed as we debated the conditions for the wife.

My husband returned home for lunch.
He brought back something suspicious, so we questioned him about the unauthorized expenses.
"Show me what is inside that box."

It was far too suspicious for him to be carrying it so protectively without even putting it in his item box. What on earth could it be?

"Is this what you obtained by falsifying the expenses, Brother?"

"Now, restrain my husband!"
"Understood!"
I thought he would put up more of a fight, but he was easily pinned by his limbs and became docile.
Now, for the contents of the box.
"Dresses?"
"And there are so many of them. Did someone ask you to get these?"
Indeed, there were countless dresses.
I have many such garments for social occasions. Rurua and Shera seemed to be of the same mind, tilting their heads in confusion. To us, they were nothing out of the ordinary.
"The three of you are as expected. These are dresses for everyone."
"By everyone, do you mean for us, Brother?"
"Yeah. Each and every one is a special piece, handmade by the dwarves and Narjia's fairy group."
"How incredibly elaborate..."
"They are called wedding dresses—dresses exclusively for a wedding ceremony. And specifically for the bride."
"!?!"
Everyone, including us, froze.
Even I was rendered speechless.
For those like Ratz who came from common backgrounds and were used to only modest ceremonies, the shock must have been overwhelming. Dresses like these were only worn by nobility, and they would never have had the luxury to spend money on such things.
"I know it's a bit late, but since the Founding Festival is just around the corner, would you like to hold a ceremony with me? Please, marry me."
He was in a strange state, pinned down by his limbs with only his head bowed, but everyone burst into tears from the sheer joy of it.
After calming down a little, we called Aslin and the others to begin the adjustments for the wedding dresses.
"I see, so you were budgeting the expenses for the ceremony."
"If that was the case, you could have just told us, Brother."
Eris, Ratz, Milly, Tori, Riel, and Kaya were already spinning around, delighted to be wearing their dresses.
"Now, now, it's cruel to blame Yuki-san. He prepared all of this in secret until today just to make everyone happy. And Kaya, please stay still, I can't make adjustments."
Narjia stopped Kaya's movements to check if further adjustments were needed.
"Indeed. The meetings I was having were also for the arrangements to hold the ceremony at the church. Yes, Aslin-chan, Firia-chan, if you run around too much, you'll soil the dresses."
Lilishe-sama said this to stop the two who were running wild in their excitement.
"So, when is the ceremony? You said it would coincide with the Founding Festival, right?"
"Yeah, the sixth day. I've left a day open, so if you have any personal preparations, finish them by tomorrow."
And so, for the entire day tomorrow, all the wives and representative members took a break to focus on preparations.
Well, we did rush out to handle a few troubles that arose.
Those who dared to interfere were suppressed in the blink of an eye.
That goes without saying, of course.
