第133掘:経過報告 (Part2)
In reality, the vast majority of those being defeated are monsters. Only a tiny fraction are the demons who control them.
I suppose they don't care much that their vanguard of 100,000 has been wiped out.
After all, they still outnumber the Rumel army.
However, their tank corps is surprisingly sparse. It doesn't look like they were destroyed, so... hmm, I should probably assume someone’s skill is at play here.
For now, the fact that they haven't been completely annihilated yet suggests their combat power is finite.
At this rate, the Demon Lord's army won't be wiped out immediately.
For the time being, there's no need to accelerate the advance...
"Next, reports from Tori and Riel's police force..."
The documents mention reports of demon infiltrators other than Liliana.
They confirmed and captured three out of three intruders.
Since there's a possibility others are hiding, they are continuing 24-hour surveillance.
As for the three captured, they will be interrogated here, and then we'll have Liliana-san verify them.
No issues there.
"What about the response to the residents..."
According to the reports from Milly and Kaya, there is no particular confusion.
For now, they’ve increased police patrols, and the Adventurer Guild is strictly warning everyone to avoid any internal strife.
It seems Mauve, Ovik, and the others are active, so the rowdy adventurers are behaving themselves—or rather, they seem cooperative in maintaining public order.
"And notifications to other countries..."
This is likely the biggest problem.
I left it to Rurua, Elju, and Shera, but Rurua was incapacitated for several days, and Elju is currently the commander-in-chief of the Allied Forces.
Right now, Shera and Rurua are handling the mediation between countries single-handedly.
For the time being, Litea and Roschur have raised their border surveillance against the Demon Lord to the maximum.
Can't blame them, since the enemy is marching on Rumel.
Gartz is far too busy supporting Taiki-kun, investigating Ranks' movements, and dealing with internal traitors in various countries. On top of that, they have to guard their borders.
It's hard for any country to move, but it's fortunate that communication is easy.
Everything is normal for now.
"And the standby group remaining at the government building."
Eris, Deryu, Labyris, and Ratz.
Ratz's store is seeing a slower depletion of supplies than expected. That's likely thanks to the residents not panicking too much.
I have Milly and Kaya's competence to thank for that.
However, there was a different problem.
There were mountains of petitions from surrounding countries requesting that I open gates, or at least begin exporting supplies via land routes.
You could say this is where the problem with Ranks is manifesting clearly.
For now, I’m telling them we can't move because we're being attacked by Ranks.
Thanks to that, Ranks is surrounded by enemies.
Ranks really does love strangling themselves, doesn't they?
"Finally, preparations for the advance..."
Nominally, Elju is in charge of this command.
Well, she's an amateur in military affairs, so I've left it to Seraria, Loire, Crack, Ares, and the representatives of each country.
It seems the enchanted equipment from Narjia-san and the Fairy tribe has been distributed.
The supply corps is also ready.
It looks like we can depart in one day as planned.
"And, well, the biggest problem for me is..."
The "Operation: Seduce Ria and get lovey-dovey." Devised by Labyris and Ratz.
Impossible.
No matter how I think about it, I don't know how to force my feelings into "LOVE."
To be told to get lovey-dovey in five days—isn't it the case that the more conscious I am of it, the more impossible it becomes?
Thinking this, I watch Ria sparring with Seraria outside.
She’s been trying incredibly hard lately.
She even power-leveled to 120 in one go; what is driving her to that extent?
The only thing I know is that the driving force is not me.
That much I know. Because all I've shown Ria until now are pathetic sides of myself.
And nothing but sleazy schemes.
"Oh, Seraria dropped her sword. That's rare. No, I should see it as Ria doing a great job."
Rather than Seraria making a mistake, I should praise Ria for drawing that mistake out of her.
At this rate, I wonder if it's safe to take her to the front lines?
Thinking such things, I look through the documents and sign them.
Before I knew it, Seraria and Ria had finished their training and gone somewhere.
"Honestly, the probability seems higher if it were between women, rather than with me."
Saying that, I sat back deeply in my chair and sipped my tea.
***
This is the overall progress report.
I think you can see just how busy Yuki is lol.
So, regarding the comment from way back about Narjia-san having a boyfriend, this is the reason why she had one.
Covil is also leveling up, so she is top-tier in terms of combat power.
However, she tends to get emotional, so she needs to be kept in check.
As for the wedding story, it’s a massive flag, so I won't be writing it until a certain point.
I plan to do it once the individual events for Eris, Tori, and Riel—which haven't been resolved yet—are finished.
