"Well, the Boss has absolutely no intention of forcing such troublesome work onto a child, anyway."
"Then, as a token of my gratitude, I shall annihilate the humans in this dungeon!!"
Yeah, no. Please don't; that would ruin our schedule.
"Yes, yes, sit down, sit down. We can't have the humans in the dungeon being wiped out right now."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Just as you have your circumstances, we have our own current situation to deal with."
I pushed Peace back down into her chair as she tried to stand.
"Hmm. I suppose you have your reasons, but isn't it problematic to have enemies inside this dungeon?"
"I'll explain that part, too. You might hear talk about 'destroying humanity,' but since our Boss was originally one of them, he has no intention of doing anything to humans for the time being. With us currently investigating the magical energy depletion, spreading magical energy recklessly in the current environment would cause all sorts of problems."
"That is similar to my master. I understand the reason for restricting magical diffusion regarding the depletion. However, humans are not to be trusted. I will say that much. My master was betrayed by humans and met his end. I suggest you refrain from letting more of them inside than necessary."
"As far as that goes, our Boss is as ironclad as they come. So, I need you to wait a few more days. As long as you don't get in our way, we won't cause you any inconvenience."
"……Understood. However, when the time comes to intercept the humans in the dungeon, I want to participate as well. I would at least like to repay the debt of being saved."
He’s a man of strong principles, isn't he? Well, I don't dislike that. He’s certainly more likable than my own subordinates.
"Understood. I’d like to see your capabilities, too. If that situation arises, I’ll take you up on that offer."
"Leave it to me. However, to possess strength that surpasses my own while being a goblin... the new Dungeon Master must be exceptionally skilled in warfare."
...No, it’s not really skill; it’s more like breaking the rules. I mean, who else would raise their own strength by conducting combat training against their own monsters in their own dungeon?

"Oh, so you were here, Steve. Sorry about these past five days..."
The Boss finally showed his face for the first time in a while, but...
"You!! You were the one who had infiltrated this dungeon!!"
"Huh?"
Before I could even stop him, he swung his fist down toward the Boss.

And, needless to say... the Dullahan had slammed her head into the wall and stopped moving.
"So, how’s the interrogation going with this one?"
"You were holding back, right? This Dullahan has some incredibly important information."
"Of course I was. But she has important information, huh... I’d rather just 'pop' her and go be by my wife and kids. If her information gets back to my wives, I'll be buried in work for a while..."
"Well, please do your best. We’re working hard over here, too."
When I said that, he seemed to realize the importance of the situation and slumped his shoulders in resignation.
"Sigh... Oh, by the way, the names have been decided. Seraria’s daughter is Sakura. Rurua’s daughter is Sumire."
"Ho—that’s elegant. Congratulations."
"Also, sorry for leaving everything to you. Use this to have a drink today."
With that, he pulled some expensive liquor and snacks out of his item box.

Saying that, he headed toward the surveillance room. The Boss’s back looked a little lonely.
