第753堀:入場口の騒ぎ (Part1)

**Chapter 753: The Commotion at the Entrance**

*Note: In the previous chapter, there was a description of Aslin and the others arriving at the conference hall with Yuki. However, since they were acting separately, I have rewritten that portion here. The previous chapter has been corrected, so please rest assured. I apologize for any confusion caused.*

**The Commotion at the Entrance**

**Side: Labyris**

"Alright, that finishes the trash collection for this area. Huh?"

As I was collecting the refuse, I was suddenly struck by a strange sensation.

I could feel an emotion—specifically, a feeling of being deeply, madly in love with Yuki.

"What’s wrong, Labyris-chan?"

"Did something happen?"

Aslin and Firia noticed me stop in my tracks and called out to me immediately.

"No, it’s just that usual thing."

"That? Ohhh, *that* thing."

"Brother is such a wonderful man, so it can’t be helped."

I’ve told the two of them—or rather, all of Yuki’s wives—about this ability of mine. It’s what you might call a "Yuki-Affection Sensor."

According to what I heard from Luna:

*"Heeh, so you’ve become able to read specific emotions from people. It’s likely that your skill has sublimated. In other words, you’ve leveled up. Well, since it’s regarding Yuki, I do wonder if they really like him that much, though."*

She said some rather rude things, but in short, it’s a power born from the result of loving Yuki.

However, it’s strange that I don’t feel the emotions of Aslin and the others. Well, we decided that if I did, I’d probably hear them twenty-four/seven, so perhaps my ability is filtering them out.

I first discovered this power back in the New Continent, with Kagura and Mikos. It was so blatant that I ended up consulting Seraria and the others about it. Or rather, it gradually became easier to understand, and in the end, it was a power that made perfect sense. No matter how you looked at it, Kagura and the others had fallen head over heels for Yuki.

That said, I still haven’t mastered the power, and it takes time to make a judgment. It’s even harder to discern because the distance—whether they are far or near—doesn't seem to matter.

"Well, I’m sure it’s just someone who saw Yuki working hard at the Grand Conference Hall and fell for him."

"I’m sure that’s it!"

"That’s right. So, to confirm, Firia and the others should finish the trash collection quickly and go help Brother."

"That’s true. If that person is someone who can help Yuki, I’d like to find them."

Yes, ever since the incident with Kagura and Mikos, this power has become a sort of tool for finding useful talent. With new problems emerging in the New Continent, we are truly short-handed, so we really need to recruit more people.

As we were talking about this, Vilia, who was driving the garbage truck, pulled up.

"Labyris, Aslin, Firia, please load the trash."

"Okay!"

Aslin answered honestly and went to load the trash into the truck.

"I’m jealous of Vilia. Firia wants to drive, too."

"No, that’s impossible for you, Firia. Your hands and feet wouldn't reach the pedals."

"Muu. This is why being a Dwarf is no good."

"It’s okay. You can just leave the driving to Vili-onee and Dre-onee."

I’m still small, so I can’t drive either. Well, Yuki did say that I might be able to handle a light car, but if I can’t drive these large vehicles, I’m not much use. I don’t drive for fun, though I do like sitting next to Yuki during a drive.

Anyway, putting that aside, we tossed the trash into the truck.

At first, there was talk of putting the trash into Item Boxes, but since it also contained food scraps and old clothes, we decided against it. It’s only natural; we’ve had this conversation before, and it’s not good for hygiene. Besides, the other children don’t have Item Boxes or magic items of that sort, which is why we use the garbage truck.

"But it’s impressive that Vilia and Dressa can drive. I recall that getting a driver’s license in Weed is quite strict, right?"

For the record, cars are deployed in Weed, but only for public facilities. Since relying solely on gates is inconvenient for travel, we use buses and the like. However, because a car can become a lethal weapon, we haven't started selling them as personal vehicles to the still-inexperienced residents of Weed.

Therefore, obtaining a driver’s license is a national qualification in Weed. It’s a rigorous test, and even we, Yuki’s wives, don’t all have one. Since the requirements are the same for everyone, it’s quite a prestigious qualification. I, Aslin, and Firia managed to pass the written exam, but due to the practical test requirements, we were only licensed for light cars. Well, that’s mostly a height issue.

So, it’s surprising that Vilia and Dressa, who haven't had much time to learn—unlike us, who were taught various things by Yuki from the start—managed to get their licenses.

"I worked very hard for it. If it helps Brother, I will master anything."

"I just saw the garbage truck at work once and wanted to try driving it. Well, it’s not that I didn't do it for Yuki’s sake, but..."

Both of their reasons were understandable. And as usual, Dressa can’t be honest with herself. She’s about to be overtaken by Kagura and the others at this rate.

"That’s amazing, Vilia-chan, Dressa-chan."

"It’s amazing!"

"It is only natural if it is for Brother’s sake."

"Well, this much is easy."

"...I don’t really care, but if we’re done with work, I want to go to Brother."

" " "Let’s go immediately!" " "

With Hiiro’s words, our small talk ended. We quickly finished our work, reported the completion to the Guild, took a bath, changed our clothes, and headed for the Grand Conference Hall, but...

*Buzz, chatter...*

The area in front of the Grand Conference Hall was packed with people.

"There are so many people."

"It’s like a festival."

"Well, there are food stalls out, so it practically is a festival."

"We helped set those up, too."

"Yeah. There are so many food vendors."

"Well, this Intercontinental Exchange Conference will go down in history. Of course it would feel like a festival."

Yuki and we had intended to secure a wide area around the hall, but even so, there were so many people. And this is only with tourists from the Rogali Continent. If tourists from other continents were to come, it would be terrifying.

"Well, there’s no point in being surprised here. Let’s head to the conference hall. Or do you want to buy something?"

"No, I brought drinks and snacks, so let’s head to the hall."

"That’s right. If we start shopping at the stalls now, the conference will be over."

With that, we pushed through the crowd and arrived in front of the hall, but it was just as congested there.

"Ah, that’s the general entrance. Looks like the tickets are sold out."

"It can’t be helped. Even if it’s a Grand Conference Hall, it’s impossible for everyone to fit inside."

"But I thought it was a place that could hold ten thousand people..."

"It should be able to hold about a third of Weed’s total population, right?"

"Tourists are here, too. That’s probably why they’re overflowing."

"We should just go through the priority entrance. I want to see Brother and Sister."

I feel bad for those who couldn't buy tickets, but it’s already approaching 11:00 AM, when the opening ceremony begins. Considering that, the people making a fuss here are just late. They might not have known about the tickets, but we did make announcements, so in a sense, it’s their own fault.

As I thought that and we walked toward the priority entrance...

"Wait!! You let those scruffy kids through, so why won't you let us in?!"

For some reason, that voice was directed at us. I stopped and looked back to see a man who looked like a noble, along with his entourage, glaring at us while shouting at the woman at the reception desk.

"Those people have priority entry. They have the proper tickets for it."

"Then let me through that way as well!!"

"That’s impossible. Those children checked in advance and have their tickets. You, however, do not. You must follow the rules."

Even though she was dealing with a noble, the receptionist didn't seem shaken... wait, that woman is...

"Oh, it’s Kina-san."

"I hadn't seen her at the Guild, so I wondered where she went. She was here."
