第1038堀:各地の状況確認 (Part2)
If that rotting fish were to appear and head toward Aurelia Port, it would be no laughing matter. Considering all those various factors, the situation surrounding the Zurabl Great Empire could hardly be called good. The only stroke of luck was obtaining the Magic Gear; without it, we might be in a truly dire state.
"I see. I was worried about the Leviathan that Shi-chan mentioned, but it’s a relief there are no signs of it."
"Well, if a Leviathan does show up, I’ll have to ask Dressa to intercept it. Given the scale, at least."
"That’s right. They say even Shi-chan only managed a draw against it, so it would be best for us to go and finish it off completely."
Dressa is right. We can’t just leave a monster that can fight a Sea Dragon to a stalemate. If we could communicate, that would be fine, but we can't have Aurelia Port attacked, and having the shipping route between the Seasifo Kingdom and Aurelia Port obstructed would be even worse.
"So, Onii-sama, Aslin-nee, Shi-chan, and Hiiro are fine, but what about the situation with Empress Eupia?"
"Now that you mention it, that’s true. Our series of movements is ultimately to support the Zurabl Great Empire in defeating the Haine Empire. We should know the movements of the main Zurabl army."
"If I recall, they are currently preparing to invade the Forma Kingdom, which lies just before the Haine Empire, right?"
"Yeah. They’re in the middle of preparations to invade the Forma Kingdom. General Vol is working hard at the Imperial Capital to reorganize the Second Army. Apparently, progress is going well."
Usually, reorganizing a scattered army should be incredibly difficult in many ways, but as expected of the Zurabl Great Empire, which has fought its way this far, they seem to possess that kind of charisma. In less than a month, the reorganization has progressed, the numbers are almost complete, and they are now moving to procure supplies.
"The rest depends on whether we and the Zurabl intelligence units can seize control of the dungeons in the Forma Kingdom so we can move safely."
"And as part of that dungeon seizure, Aslin and the others are investigating the Great Mountain Range, right?"
"That’s right. Well, the battle against the Haine Empire is about to begin in earnest. Since it’s a region dotted with dungeons, we don’t know where monsters might spring out from. That’s why we were being cautious, but we’re getting absolutely no information."
That’s why it feels like we’re taking such a long detour. It’s truly difficult to work without information.
"Nevertheless, even if we aren't gathering information on the Dungeon Masters, we have secured the surrounding areas."
"Yeah. As Shera said, the seizure of the dungeons is proceeding steadily, and all the dungeons scattered throughout the Forma Kingdom, excluding the decoys, have been secured. So, even if the Zurabl army attacks the Forma Kingdom, they shouldn't be wiped out."
"It’s going surprisingly well. Yuki, your expression has been so grim lately that I thought we were in a terribly disadvantageous situation, but that’s not the case at all."
"Yeah. Onii-sama has been looking worried the whole time."
"Whoa, was it that obvious on my face?"
"We know everything when it comes to Onii-sama. After all, we are your wives."
"That’s right. When it comes to you, Yuki-san, we can see right through everything."
Geez, it seems it’s not just Agil and the others—all my wives have figured out my state of mind. Sigh, as someone in a position of leadership, I really need to hide my emotions better during times like these. Well, whatever.
"Let’s just say I’ve been blessed with good wives."
"Yes, that’s right. It means we’re good women."
"Mm. Hiiro is Onii-sama’s best partner."
"Yes. We will support you, Onii-sama."
That’s right. With such wonderful wives by my side, I should keep doing my best. Considering the information gathered and the current situation, we should be able to handle it even if a Dungeon Master interferes. I just need to keep building on what needs to be done.
"I hope the remaining two months or so pass without any trouble."
"Indeed. Let’s take it one step at a time without rushing."
"Let’s do our best!"
"Let’s work hard."
"Right. Now, Dressa, Hiiro, Vilia, please submit your reports. I’ll check them."
" " "Ugh..." " "
Hahaha. Even though they’ve gotten used to the work, it seems they still aren't fond of paperwork. Watching Dressa and the others, I start summarizing a certain document. That’s right—if we can’t gather information, we just need to change our direction.
In other words...
The progress in the snowy mountains is neither good nor bad. However, the surrounding situation is favorable.
Now then, will the remaining time pass quietly?
