第1050堀:馬鹿者たちと選択 (Part2)
"Monsters? That means they belong to the Zurable army. Our monster infantry is still positioned in the vanguard. What are your thoughts, Your Majesty?"
"They likely intend to use Jama as an example. He is a fool, after all. They’ll wait until the moment of his execution to make him spew filth, thereby dragging Hein's reputation through the mud."
Good grief, this has become a troublesome affair.
To think they would try to utilize those idiots.
I wouldn't call it a blunder, but it is certainly not a clever move.
Those fools do not represent the Hein Empire, but if he is executed as he is, it will be perceived as the face of our nation.
If that happens, the people of the Hein Empire might be treated unfairly due to misunderstandings caused by that fool's behavior.
And that, in turn, will invite new resentment.
I didn't take them for the type to use such tactics... Well, perhaps it is a difference in policy.
I was thinking this when a messenger arrived in succession.
"I have a report! According to those monitoring the center from the left flank, Jama and his men have suddenly appeared alongside monsters and are attacking not only their own forces but the Zurable army as well!"
"What? What is the meaning of this?"
That would mean they are attacking friend and foe alike.
No matter how foolish they are, they couldn't be *that* foolish...
*“Listen, little ones and your masters. I am a god, and I hereby declare the founding of the Kingdom of God. You would do well to prostrate yourselves.”*
Such even more ridiculous words reached my ears.
Judging by her demeanor, the woman should have been speaking quietly, yet for some reason, her voice carried clearly to my ears, even from such a distance.
Moreover, it seems it wasn't just me; Wave and those around me were exchanging looks, stunned by the absurdity of it all.
"...Did you hear that?"
"Yes. I, too, heard the voice of a woman declaring something bizarre."
There is no mistake.
It seems I haven't lost my mind.
*“Did you not hear me? Show yourselves before me, your god, and kneel. If you do, I shall grant you a place at the edge of the Kingdom of God. If not, you shall serve as fodder for my subordinates here and now.”*
The woman's voice rang out again.
Her tone was so incredibly one-sided that I couldn't help but...
"Hahaha!! I suspected there might be some interference from somewhere, but to think someone would claim to create a Kingdom of God while leading monsters! It sounds like nothing more than a joke! I announce to the entire army: Advance and annihilate those fools before us and that woman who calls herself a god!"
" " "Yes, sir!" " "
My goodness, I couldn't help but laugh at the sheer absurdity of it.
There are far better ways to announce one's presence, surely.
Why utter such nonsense?
"Your Majesty. What do you suppose that woman is thinking?"
"She said it herself, didn't she? She intends to found a Kingdom of God, governed by herself as a deity."
"You don't mean to say you believe it's true?"
"Who knows. If she is a madwoman, it is possible. Well, if she were a person capable of rational thought, it would be impossible. That said, it is a fact that she is leading monsters. It seems those fools are also cooperating with that idiot who calls herself a god. Perhaps they actually think they can win. By making both Hein and Zurable their enemies."
"That's absurd..."
"Well, it isn't entirely wrong. If they truly possess the power to strike down both Hein and Zurable here, then a third great power has indeed emerged. And for those fools, that is the only path to survival."
Hmm, so they were driven into a corner and decided to join hands with someone claiming to be a foolish god?
Either way, it will only end with them being crushed here.
"The things that needed to be removed have risen up against us head-on. It makes the cleaning up easier. You should think of it that way."
"I see."
"If possible, I would like to know the true identity of the woman who appeared with that pillar of light. Well, capture her if you can."
"Yes, sir."
The moment I gave that order, the woman's voice returned.
*“I see. So, the foolishness of humans remains unchanged, both in the past and the present. That is precisely why I must guide you. Now, prostrate yourselves before my majesty and power. Know in your own flesh what you have dared to defy.”*
For some reason, her voice was a mixture of pity and rage.
I am curious as to what led the woman to such a state, but this is a battlefield. Softness means death.
I will simply strike down the enemies before me for the sake of my country.
And so, I ignored the exhortations of that mysterious, deranged woman and focused on the battle between the fools and the Zurable Great Empire.
"However, they must be even more confused on the other side."
"Indeed. After all, the vanguard of our Hein Empire suddenly claimed to be a god and attacked both sides as a third army; it must be completely incomprehensible to them."
I kept it to myself that I felt a fleeting urge to properly inform Emperor Eupia about those idiots.
And now, the true enemy appears!
Can they stand against the threat of the Goddess!
