Shera and I were well aware of the situation, but Hiiro, unaccustomed to having such "dignitaries" bow their heads to her, wore a slightly conflicted expression. It seemed best for me to take the lead in the conversation.
"The reason we came to my husband’s room was to see him, of course, and to discuss our upcoming schedule. However, if we are intruding upon you, Viscount, we can return at another time."
"Not at all. In fact, we were just discussing that very topic."
"Viscount Kinao, would you be so kind as to lend us a conference room where my fellow wives might also be seated? Since they are accompanying us on this visit, it would be most efficient to discuss these matters together."
"A sensible suggestion. Please, follow me."
And so, we were ushered into a room furnished with a large table—the kind typically used for banquets—to finalize our plans.
"Once again, to everyone from Weed, I offer my deepest gratitude for your visit to the town of Aoku. Regarding our itinerary: while you expressed a desire to visit the goblin village, we have arranged for you to rest in our town until the day after tomorrow, with the visit scheduled for three days from now. I shall serve as your guide and oversee the arrangements for your escort. Do you have any questions?"
"Let’s see. We wouldn't want to commit any faux pas while visiting the goblin village, so could you inform us of any taboos we should be aware of? Please, tell us everything, even the things that might seem like common sense."
Ah, that’s a fair point. When it comes to taboos in a goblin village, I’m at a loss myself. We’ve managed to communicate without issue thus far, but if there are specific customs for this village, we must be careful.
"I have heard of no particular taboos. It is much like dealing with us; treat them with courtesy, and they shall return it. Show them disrespect, and they will respond with anger."
"I see. And regarding gifts—what would be appropriate?"
"Hmm, that is a good question. They have little interest in jewelry. As you know, they live quietly in the depths of the forest, so items that serve a practical, daily purpose would be best."
"Understood."
As Yuki spoke, he glanced toward Aurelia and the others. They seemed to understand immediately, jotting down notes as Yayui stepped back with a graceful motion. It’s certainly better to have a list compiled on the spot like this than to have Yuki rack his brain later. They are proving to be quite useful, those girls.

"Not at all. We arrived early, so the fault is ours. We shall enjoy the town of Aoku tomorrow and the day after. Besides, I am pleased to have more time to speak with you, Viscount Kinao."

Our country is filled with knights, but we have few who can wield magic. It would be an act of great impudence, but I would be honored to see it with my own eyes."

"Oh! Thank you! I shall make the arrangements immediately. If it suits you, perhaps tomorrow..."
"That works. Let’s do it right away. If there are others who wish to watch, they are welcome to join. As for calling the townspeople..."
"That might draw too large a crowd, I fear. It would be best to limit it to those we select."
Yuki and Viscount Aoku continued their conversation in high spirits. Still, if we had some downtime...
"Pardon the interruption, but I would like to pay a visit to the Haire Church in this region. Would that be acceptable?"
"Yes, of course. The priestess of the spirits is eagerly awaited by the Haire Church as well. Shall you be heading there now?"
"No, tomorrow. I intend to go with my husband. Otherwise, I fear I might be detained for far too long."
"A wise precaution."
As priestesses of the spirits, we are objects of worship; if we were to wander into a church carelessly, it would truly become a chaotic affair. However, Rurua has instructed me to make a proper appearance to investigate local endemic diseases, and I recognize that knowledge of such illnesses is absolutely essential. I must ensure that is handled correctly.
Looking at it this way, having a bit of extra time before the visit to the goblin village might not be such a bad thing after all. Who knew Enora could be so efficient?
