I lay out the documents and begin my review.
"International Investigation Organization."
Following the conclusion of the recent barbecue gathering, I sent out the formal documentation to various nations regarding the establishment of an international investigative body, with agents gathered from each.
With this, the groundwork for a counter-offensive against hostile organizations—specifically the Anti-Weed Alliance—has begun.
I wasn't entirely sure how their presence would manifest, so I had been pondering the best approach.
As it turns out, they have opted for a conventional, straightforward strategy.
For now, the situation is in a "waiting for progress reports" phase.
"New Residential District Resident Registration."
The momentum is better than anticipated. Registrants are flooding in at a rate higher than projected, keeping Prol and her team busy. While there were many waiting, Prol has already addressed the backlog, and the situation is moving toward resolution.
In short, the name "Weed" has become a brand.
People gather here precisely because they believe coming to Weed is beneficial to them.
Well, that also means people who don't exactly wish us well are coming too, but I’ll leave that to the efforts of the "International Investigation Organization" and our "Police and Military."
I suppose I can mark this as resolved.
"Security for the New Residential District by Police and Military."
This is a measure to prevent the deterioration of public order due to the massive influx of people unfamiliar with Weed.
Prol, Steve, and Tori have already held discussions and initiated the process.
They have begun organizing meetings between the new residents and the monsters in the police and military to foster deeper relationships.
If there is a problem, it’s the securing of personnel.
With the student exchange program about to begin, it was obvious that the police and military would face a labor shortage. I’ve requested an increase in staff, but it seems it isn't as simple as that.
Wait, is this a separate issue? Well, it’s fine to group them together for now. Besides, the recruitment process isn't something I’m handling directly.

Before accepting the actual students, we are having students and teachers from magic academies across various continents visit in advance to identify potential issues.
So far, there are no major problems. There are minor hiccups, but they are well within the range of what the teachers can handle.
Kagura, Mikos, Nilua, Wazfi, and Aslin, who are attending school alongside them, have reported that it’s enjoyable. And then there is Fusora.
She is the daughter of Viscount Kinao Aoku of the Zufia Kingdom—the one who helped us during our investigation of the Goblin village—and she possesses a natural talent for magic.
She is also participating in the test run.
She is helping to fill in the gaps that Aslin and the others might miss.
Aslin and her group are, after all, quite sharp. That’s not to say Fusora is unintelligent; it’s just that because Aslin is involved in organizational management, she tends to accept things as "how they are." Fusora, however, has not yet established that perspective, so she offers the honest, unfiltered opinions of a child.
The Viscount seems worried that she’s become too comfortable around me, though.
Since even Fusora says it’s clearly fun, I can judge that there are no glaring issues at this stage.
"Student Exchange Program."
Considering the reports from the documents so far, there is an opinion that we should move forward.
I agree; I don't see any problems.
The selection process in each country is mostly complete.
It seems some students had their study abroad status revoked due to scandals in their home countries, but that’s beyond my control.
In other words, we can accept the exchange students on the original schedule.
Good. Just as I was thinking that, another document caught my eye.
"Protection of Rare Species."
Ah, right. I had this one too.
This is primarily an issue on the Rogali Continent.
Compared to other continents and regions, monster activity on the Rogali Continent is significantly more vigorous, and the variety of species living there is vast.
The problem identified is the existence of a business model that captures those deemed "rare" and sells them into slavery.
Actually, I only realized this while playing a game.
If species we are unfamiliar with are enslaved, and the entire race ends up turning against humanity, that would be a massive problem.
To prevent such things, the plan was to investigate "rare species" in advance, negotiate, and provide protection.
I need to hear a progress report on this one.
As I thought that, I froze upon seeing the next document.
"Progress Report on Lyushi."
Lyushi was a severely injured patient I encountered when I bought Orelia and the others.
I treated her myself and provided a ring for her mental stability, but I haven't had much contact with her since.
No, it’s just that I’ve been busy.
It’s not that I had forgotten her until this very moment.
Yes, I was just too busy to visit.
Reading the document in detail, it’s a report from Nina.
Since I’ve been busy, Nina has been visiting Lyushi on my behalf to check on her.
The report states that while Lyushi was initially unstable, thanks to the effects of the ring, she is now able to speak normally with Nina and Kishua.
She has no issues communicating with the doctors, and the report included a request for me to make time to see her, as they understand I am busy but believe a visit is warranted.
For now, I thought it necessary to check with Rurua, who is the director of the Weed Hospital, before heading over.
"...So, I’m thinking of going to visit Lyushi. What do you think?"
"I see. I’ve been busy and haven't seen her much myself, but I believe she is calm. I don't think there would be any problem with you visiting. Of course, please call me if anything happens."
"I see. Then, I’m heading over for a visit now."
"Yes, understood."
Since there didn't seem to be any issues, I took Fiora and the others and first stopped by the plushie shop.
"Hm? Oh, Yuki."
Kishua was manning the counter, reading a magazine.
"A laid-back workplace, isn't it?"
"Well, it’s two streets away from the main road. We don't get that many customers. Besides, it’s a plushie shop."
"Well, I suppose that’s true. Adults don't usually buy plushies, do they?"
"No, no, that’s not necessarily true. The quality of the plushies here is quite high thanks to the materials you provide, Yuki. They’re popular with women. Plus, there are surprisingly quite a few enthusiasts who like to buy monster plushies."
"Ah, the 'creepy-cute' appeal, I suppose."
It’s the same reason why deep-sea creatures or arthropod capsule toys sell so well.
"Anyway, never mind the shop. Since you brought the princess and your assistants along, isn't this a work-related visit?"
"Hm? Fiora, have you met Orelia and the others before?"
