Chapter 1335: If You Linger, You Can’t Rest

Side: Firia

"Morning~."

"Mmm... Morning."

As Firia sat up, Aslin, who had been sleeping beside her, began to stir.

"Yaaawn, I slept so well."

"We sure did."

The two of them stretched their bodies, shaking off the remnants of sleep.

Outside, the sky was only just beginning to brighten; dawn was still a little ways off. Even so, for Firia and the others, early mornings were the norm, and waking at this hour was simply a matter of course.

The reason being...

"Alright, time to prep breakfast."

"Mm-hmm."

Yes, Firia and the others were responsible for preparing the morning meal. In the past, she could only assist her brother, but now her culinary skills had improved to the point where she could even make rolled omelets. She was a proper lady who could cook.

Lately, the family had been growing, which made the work quite demanding, but it didn't bother her—not when she knew there were people who would eat it and tell her how delicious it was.

Lost in such thoughts, she washed her face, changed out of her pajamas, and began the preparations. Then...

"...Are you two going already? Huh? Where’s Shera?"

Labyris spoke up, her voice thick with sleep. Her eyes weren't fully open yet, and she was patting the spot where Shera should have been, searching for her.

"Shera-chan isn't sleeping in our room because of work. I set out her bedding just in case she came back, but it doesn't look like she did."

"...Ah, that’s right, she did say that. No wonder she didn't wake me up."

It had become routine for Shera to wake Labyris up. Well, sometimes Labyris would stay asleep regardless, and since there was no need to force her, they would occasionally just let her be, but...

"...I'll get up."

"You don't have to push yourself, Labyris-chan?"

"...I'm going with you two."

"We'll help you."

Labyris wobbled as she stood, so the two of them supported her to the washbasin. After splashing water on her face, she seemed to wake up properly.

"Yep. Morning, you two."

"Morning."

"Morning~."

Only then did they exchange their greetings. She was, as always, not a morning person.

She shed her pajamas, revealing her soft breasts before pulling on her usual clothes...

"They look huge every time I see them~."

"They really are."

"You see them all the time, don't you? Besides, Aslin, I wouldn't say you're quite at my level, but you're plenty big yourself."

"Ahaha, I suppose so, but you older sisters are still much bigger."

It was true; since coming to Weed, Aslin had grown rapidly and now possessed a lovely figure. Though, whenever she went outside, she still used her "little Aslin" mode.

"Firia will stay a flat-board forever..."

Firia pressed her hands against her own chest, feeling a twinge of disappointment at her lack of growth.

"That’s Firia’s charm, you know. Right, Aslin?"

"Yeah. Firia-chan is still cute just the way she is."

"Thank you. But, I still admire big breasts."

Ever since the babies were born, she had felt strongly that breasts were a symbol of motherhood. She worried that because hers were small, she wouldn't be able to produce milk.

"I can't deny that it's something to admire. Well, maybe we can ask Comet or someone to look into breast-enhancement potions. Riel is worried about her size, too."

"Is that stuff even real?"

"I’d like to try it at least once."

Chatting like this, they arrived at the kitchen, where her brother, Kirue-neesama, and Sasari-neesama were already busy preparing breakfast.

"Oh. Morning, you three."

"Morning."

"Morning~."

"Mornin'."

After a light greeting to her brother, they headed to their usual stations to begin their tasks.

"Kirue-neesama, how many servings do we need today?"

"Comet-sama and her group are staying over, so please prepare five extra portions."

"Understood."

Breakfast was generally a fixed menu. Well, there were minor variations—the type of fish, or the ingredients in the miso soup—but it was mostly consistent. Incidentally, Shera had rushed in during the preparations with her hair a mess, which gave everyone a good laugh.

After the hectic breakfast prep, they ate together as usual. Firia was just thinking about starting her work when...

"Firia, Aslin, Labyris, Shera. I have something to discuss regarding work. Do you have a moment?"

Her brother called out to them. Firia and the others exchanged glances.

"We're fine with that."

"Yeah, it's okay."

"Anything from Yuki is a top priority."

"Yes, that’s right."

As they replied immediately, her brother gave a wry smile.

"Alright then, let's talk over some tea."

At his invitation, they returned to the banquet hall to speak with him. Behind her brother stood the usual members: his guards, Ria-neesama, Jessica-neesama, Samantha-neesama, and Cleena-neesama; and his assistants, Fior-neesama, Orelia-neesama, Hovis-neesama, and Yayui-neesama.

Yes, lately, her brother finally had a satisfying number of people by his side. It meant they could take shifts and ensure everything was handled in peak condition.

As she thought this, Hovis-neesama brought them tea, and Firia thanked her before taking a sip. *Ahhh*, warm tea was so soothing.

"So, what’s this formal talk about? You said it was about work—is it some kind of trouble?"

Oh, that’s right. Her brother had stopped them regarding work.

"If you call it trouble, then I suppose it is. It’s about holidays."

"Holidays?"

Not just Firia and the others, but even Ria-neesama and the others standing behind them tilted their heads in confusion. Labyris, however, offered a wry smile as she pushed the conversation forward.

"Isn't 'holidays' and 'work' a bit of a contradiction?"

"Well, hearing it from the outside, I suppose it sounds that way. But resting is part of the job, too. We held a big celebration for the start of the international student program the other day, didn't we?"

"We did. Though, that was work, too."

It was indeed a celebration, but it had been a venue where important people gathered to exchange greetings.
