第1393堀:現在わかっている情報のまとめと行動 (Part2)
"Indeed. That is a delicate matter, but tracing the path of the correspondence is our best course of action. Those hailing from the two nations frequently send letters via periodic reports and the like. The contents themselves are quite mundane; they simply write about their daily lives and the sheer magnificence of Weed."
"But~, if that's the case, they're being delivered to the two nations, right? Wouldn't that fall under Kirika-sama’s intelligence division?"
"If it comes to that, we shall leave it to Kirika-sama. However, there is a possibility that is not the case."
So that is how it is.
It is true that they would not blatantly deliver them to enemy territory immediately, but then, a thought occurs to me.
"Have we not been tracking them until now?"
"My purview is strictly the collection of information and the monitoring of residents within Weed. I lack the diplomatic channels for anything beyond that."
"I see. That is how it is."
"Yes. Without an opportunity such as this, or a formal order issued by Yuki-sama, it would be difficult for me to mobilize the likes of Firia-sama or Orelia and the others on my own authority."
That is certainly true.
We would not move based on Prol’s authority alone.
One would naturally consult Yuki-sama from there, but... given the issues with Suurus, I suppose it was inevitably pushed to the back burner.
Dark Guild Information (Chronological Order of Discovery):
- Bandit incidents along the Roschur-Gartz border.
- Conduct interviews with relevant parties to see if there is additional information.
- Influx of anti-Weed factions following the acceptance of additional immigrants for the International Exchange School.
- Investigate the routing of their correspondence.
"Next, this concerns Eris-sama and Ratz-sama, specifically regarding the flow of funds and supplies. There is a connection between the supplies brought in by Loel-sama of Gartz and the two nations, and there is talk that this may be under the direction of the Dark Guild."
That matter had come up as well.
Or rather, it was a detail that came to light immediately after Yuki-sama issued his instructions.
"We have confirmed that funds and supplies are flowing to the two nations after leaving Weed, but the specifics of that transit remain unclear. There is a possibility that the Dark Guild is involved in that process, so we must investigate the path they take."
"Ah~, I remember that~."
"Since this involves the movement of actual funds and goods, it might be best to focus our investigation there, as it’s easier to track."
"Indeed. While the other matters may be limited to gathering hearsay, this one involves physical movement. It should be easier to follow."
It seems Yuki-sama and Kirika-sama also view this matter as a priority.
"Well, of course, if we go around asking too blatantly, we will be met with caution, so we will need to coordinate properly. When we investigate, may we borrow Kirika-sama’s strength?"
"Yes. That will be no problem."
"Thank you very much."

"Furthermore, it would be wise to head to each guild—particularly the Adventurer Guild and the police station—to collect information. They have been gathering their own intelligence as well."
"Indeed, for the guilds, the Dark Guild is a dishonorable organization. It would not be strange for them to have gathered information on that front."
"As for the police, I am certain that Poni-san and the others have been collecting information as well."
- Additionally, confirm information with other relevant parties and promise to share findings.
"I have written it down roughly, but this is what we must do. Yuki-sama, please handle the issuance of the orders and the preliminary groundwork with your wives."
"Understood. I wish I could have handled the inquiries one by one myself, but..."
"Don't be ridiculous. Yuki-sama, you must discuss matters regarding the two nations with the kings of the great powers, among other negotiations. Devoting your time to those tasks is the correct course of action."
We all nod at Prol’s words.
We can handle the investigation, but Yuki-sama is the only one capable of standing on equal footing with the kings of the great powers.
"Talking to those high-and-mighty types is a real pain in the neck, though."
"In that case, you could simply invite Kiyu-sama and discuss it over a bowl of ramen."
"Ah—that’s an option, isn't it?"
...They were just ordering and eating ramen normally, weren't they?
No, I suppose that only goes to show how close they are.
"Alright. For now, the policy is set. Tomorrow, we shall discuss where to start and how to distribute the work. With that, let’s head out to shop and prepare dinner."
"Yes!"
And so, we concluded our meeting.
However, I realized that preparing dinner is unexpectedly heavy labor.
It is clear that the Dark Guild-related movements have been underway for quite some time.
Now then, what kind of information will emerge from our investigations?
