"Everyone, calm down. You know what Nina is like, don't you?"
It was true. When we were introduced to Weed, she had taken care of us with stuffed animals, and when we visited regarding the matter of Rushi-san, she had exposed her breasts to us. No, wait—I recall she was incredibly rude even back then.
I see. So, this is just how Nina-sama is.
In other words, it’s incurable.
"Alright, alright, I get it. Nina, I’m counting on you too. Don't push yourself too hard."
"Leave it to me."
Nina-sama puffed out her chest and tried to head out of the room before Yuki-sama, only to be immediately grabbed by the scruff of her neck.
"You’re waiting here because the person you need to contact depends on the results of the meeting with Prol and the others."
"Oops, that’s right. My overflowing motivation made me lose focus."
"Hah... well, in that case, Fiora, I’m counting on you to support Orelia and the others."
"Leave that to me."
Hmm. I suppose it’s true that they’ve known each other for a long time. There’s a sense that they understand each other without needing to go into detail.
"Well then, I’m off."

Once we had seen off our master, Yuki-sama, we all took our seats in unison.
"Now, since Yuki-sama has entrusted this to us, we will give it our all. First, let’s finish today’s workload. During the morning. "Understood. But that won't take that much time, so what should I do then?"
"Nina-sama, please investigate areas that we might have overlooked. However, you must be back in time for the afternoon. To be specific, meet us back here at 1:00 PM after lunch."
"Got it."
With that, Nina-sama headed out as well. Though, I don't think her presence would have helped with our work anyway.
"Now then, please tell me the work we are scheduled to complete today."
And so, we were taught how to handle work during such busy times by Prol-san. The method was actually quite simple.
Anything that arrived today—unless it was urgent—would be pushed to tomorrow.
That was it.
"Yesterday's portion" referred to the documents and appointments that arrived during yesterday's business hours. As for the work that couldn't be finished this morning, we would prioritize it and push it to tomorrow. After all, if we couldn't finish it in a day even if we tried our best, there was no point. We would just draw a line and leave it at that.
According to Prol:
"No matter how hard we work, in the end, nothing moves without the approval of the top—meaning Yuki-sama or Seraria-sama—as well as the permission of each department. They can't complain even if things are delayed by a week, let alone a day or two, and that is only natural given that a war is currently underway."
She was right. Even if someone asked to meet with Yuki-sama right now, it couldn't happen immediately, and our priority was coordinating with other countries regarding post-war processing, so it was only natural.
"If anyone complains, you can just tell them to stop the war and finish the post-war processing themselves. Or rather, the fact that they are trying to force such matters on you means they are looking down on you. They think that if they push, you’ll fold. That kind of behavior leads to disrespect toward Yuki-sama as well. Isn't that right, Fiora-sama?"
"Indeed. If something needs to be refused, refuse it firmly. Tell them clearly that there are matters that must take priority right now. Being lazy and not pushing yourself are not the same thing, so you don't need to worry about it. If they expect us to be considerate of them, it is only natural that they be considerate of us in return."
I see. Kindness can also breed contempt. Yuki-sama is kind, so I had assumed we should be too, but she was right—they should be considering our circumstances as well. Even the old guys who are close to Yuki-sama just tell him to hang in there when he’s busy; they know how to read the room.

And so, we began to learn the new way of doing business. When things get tough, it’s important to organize your thoughts and take a step back. Some things simply cannot be done, no matter what.
