I read through the list one by one, and indeed, many of these tasks were things I knew we had been handling.
* Managing the treatment of rare races, including coordinating with other continents to address potential conflicts.
* Monitoring the progress of Weed’s magical energy observation outposts across each continent.
* Confirming the status of dungeons in the Zuraburu region and keeping watch over the nations surrounding the Zuraburu Empire.
* Searching for hostile Dungeon Masters, as well as factions belonging to the neutral or hostile intermediate god sects.
* Ensuring there were no issues or troubles occurring on any of the continents.
* And, of course, the general operation of Weed.
Tasks like the progress of the magical energy observation outposts, for instance, don't really concern a maid like me. That is the domain of the brilliant minds Weed prides itself on: Agil, Comet, Taizo, and Zargis. While Aslin and Firia are involved in the observation of monsters, it remains outside my sphere, so information rarely reaches me. Research and observation are fields where change is often stagnant. Of course, if a major development occurs, a report is filed, but the only recent activity of note at the observation outposts was the investigation conducted by Wazfi and Nairua from the Lancer Academy of Magic, along with the ghost Havia—and they found nothing out of the ordinary.
...Come to think of it, I haven't heard much about those three since the Great Flood. They should be attending school just like Aslin and the others, in addition to their duties as Great Forest observers. It seems I have let some things slip my mind. I should look into that personally.
"This is a rough summary of the tasks we were handling at the time the Great Flood occurred. Everyone here was involved in at least one of the duties listed."
At Master's words, everyone nodded. We had indeed been pouring our full efforts into these operations. There was no doubt about that.
"Alright, now for the sequence of events that followed."
He began to detail our actions after receiving the report of the Great Flood in Suurus:
* Immediate contact with relevant parties, primarily Litea and the Adventurer Guild, to confirm the situation.
* Litea sent an envoy requesting aid. The Adventurer Guild headquarters also received a report, but verification was underway, making their response slower than Litea's.
* The result: The Great Flood in Suurus was confirmed as fact. However, no signs of a flood—let alone the source dungeon—could be detected, leading to the conclusion that a Dungeon Master was likely behind it. Litea requested support from the Alliance, marking the first time a request for aid had been made to a fellow member nation.
* The Alliance immediately accepted and began mobilization. However, a problem arose: Suurus had asked Litea for help, not the Alliance, which could be misconstrued as an act of aggression. Furthermore, Suurus was not an Alliance member state.
* At the same time, it became clear that organizing the Alliance army would take time, particularly due to the difficulty of unifying the chain of command. As a solution to the urgent situation, the Weed army—which could effectively function as an Alliance force—was dispatched independently.
* Three days later, the advance team arrived, utilized a gate to enter Suurus, and deployed. They intercepted and annihilated the Great Flood that was advancing on the northern town.
The account was delivered rapidly, yet the events described all took place within four days. Most of the information had been gathered within twenty-four hours; the only significant time expenditure was the travel time for the advance team. We listened to the report as if it were routine, but in truth, this response speed was nothing short of extraordinary.
* The team moved to the Suurus royal capital to report the suppression of the Great Flood and propose Alliance membership. Simultaneously, they detected suspicious movements from a neighboring country. It was discovered that the Dark Guild was active, and based on the timing of the dungeon-led Great Flood, it was determined that a cooperative relationship was highly likely.
Yayui took a breath after saying that much. She had glossed over the latter half quite a bit. Just as I was wondering about the details of the Great Flood, Master spoke up.
"Alright, thank you, Yayui. Let's stop there for now. We'll mark that as the end of the first half. The details regarding the Great Flood and the subsequent response to the two nations are separate matters, and the discussion would become quite lengthy. Does anyone have any questions or concerns regarding what has been covered so far?"
I see. I understood his reasoning, and we began to move forward with our discussion based on the events of the first half. It is easy to forget things, so this was a good summary of recent events. Though, to be precise, it was a summary of what we were doing *before* the Great Flood occurred. How much of it did everyone remember?
