That said, as Deryu and Ria pointed out, while the Allied Forces aren't exactly being wiped out, they are far from ready for immediate deployment. In fact, they’ve stalled completely on the topic of who should even take command.
There is no denying they are woefully unprepared.
"The problem is that the Allied Forces aren't currently functioning as a unit. Even then, when it comes to Kinauf, the Allied Forces... well, the bulk of it is just Lithea anyway. I really need to rethink the organization of the alliance. I had considered it before, but it never felt like an urgent matter until now."
"Since the name itself carries weight, it isn't exactly a failure. The mere fact that the great powers formed an alliance has acted as a deterrent to war, and since Weed acted as the representative for this incident, the alliance's perceived response capability has actually gone up, wouldn't you say?"
"I suppose so. Externally, maybe. But internally, the recognition is that we couldn't move, and I want to improve that. If we don't, Weed will end up being the one deployed for every single trouble that arises. We’ll literally run out of hands, and it’ll raise questions among the participating nations about whether the alliance is even reliable."
Indeed, if Weed continues to handle everything, the promise that the alliance will provide military aid will become nothing more than a hollow formality.
While some nations might prefer that, the great powers eager to project their military might will undoubtedly be dissatisfied.
As a result, even if they remain economically tied, they may stop coordinating militarily, leading to the perception that the alliance won't help when trouble strikes.
"Well, that’s a political matter, so I’ll leave it to you all. Regardless, it means we’ll need a dedicated task force for the Great Outbreak. I’d like you to look into how we should prepare for that."
"Understood. Still, even though it was my request, it’s startling how quickly they’re being trained—a third of them are already integrated in less than six months."
"That’s because they’re monsters, after all. They’re dungeon monsters by nature, so they listen to the orders of the Boss and the ladies, and we can just cram whatever knowledge and abilities we want into them. All they really need is a bit of training and classroom instruction to learn how to use them effectively. Speaking of military matters, how is the human military division doing? I haven't heard anything about increasing their numbers."
At that, everyone’s gaze shifted to Quar, who was sitting next to Seraria.
While Quar serves as Seraria’s aide, she is also the captain of the Royal Guard and the head of the human military division.
The military of Weed is unique in that it is split between humans and monsters.
Of course, they do operate jointly at times, but because their characteristics differ so drastically, they are managed separately.
The intensity of the training I mentioned earlier differs between them as well.
Therefore, Quar is the one who manages the recruitment and expansion of the human military.
Oh, certainly, I, Jessica, and Agil are technically part of the military, but we are spread thin across various duties, so Quar handles the overall coordination.
I do show my face at training sessions, but I have no hand in the actual hiring process.
Naturally, I am curious.
"That’s right. Quar, could you give us a progress report?"
"Certainly. Regarding the expansion plan for the human military, we are operating it in conjunction with the police force, offering recruits a choice between the two. We have an expansion plan for the police as well, after all."
"Ah, right. About that..."
"I’ve heard the report from Poni. To be honest, regarding the police expansion plan, we are barely falling short of our goals."
"The military is in the same boat. We are barely falling short."
"So, you aren't getting the projected numbers?"
"Yes. We are lacking applicants for both the police and the military. We have job postings out, but many of those who apply declare they are quitting during the training course..."

Everyone murmured in unison.
In other words, they get a decent number of applicants, but they drop out during training.
Well, it isn't exactly an easy line of work.
"We need to discuss whether we should overhaul the training curriculum or improve the recruitment terms..."
"Indeed. ...Sigh, this is a headache no matter how you look at it. Well, shall we move on to the navy?"
It seems the navy is next.
As for the military, monster reinforcements aside, the recruitment of humans isn't going well.
Well, it’s not the kind of thing you can just increase overnight.
