From there, I listened to the proposal for developing the route, intended to give Fiora the experience of travel.

"It’s a wonderful idea. You’re turning the journey itself into something to look forward to."
"Exactly. Though, it does add a bit more work to the plate."
"Well, that’s true. I was planning to wait until the resort was finished before addressing that, but is that alright with you?"
"Yeah, let’s prioritize that. Now, how is the situation with the resort inspection?"
"Well, I issued instructions earlier, but since there are few people who know proper etiquette to handle the nobility, and we lack instructors, I’ve requested assistance from the Maid Guild."
"Ah, I see. Still falling short, then?"
"It is a new venture, after all. Rather than picking someone with experience from a pool of random hires, I thought it best to have those who are already well-versed in proper decorum."

My brother agreed with my assessment. After all, the people we would be hosting are, without a doubt, the leaders of the major allied nations. We cannot afford any discourtesy.
"So, could you also put in a word with Kirue?"
"Yeah, I’ve got it. I’ll pass the message along. Actually, I should have just brought her along with me."
"What do you mean?"
"She was acting as an instructor and supervisor for the cooking at Canaria’s shop."
"Is that so? Well, there’s no need to go out of your way to summon her. You can just discuss it with her tonight."
"I suppose you're right. Now, is there anything else lacking at the resort?"
"Let’s see. As for the buildings, I’ve constructed them thoroughly using dungeon skills, and the interiors are nearly finished; the rest is just a matter of time. The remaining issues are, as I mentioned, the lack of staff trained in etiquette for high-ranking guests, the resort merchandise, and finally, the seafood—the marine products from the port. We’re in a situation where we have a port town and a resort, but no 'main attraction' to speak of."
Indeed, the most vital component remained almost entirely untouched.
"Ah, right. I’ll check with Micos about the merchandise later..."
"As for the seafood, that falls under the jurisdiction of the port town—specifically, Sisua and Sona. However, if the safety of the sea hasn't been confirmed, it’s a difficult conversation to have. If it comes to that, we might even need to consult with the military. That’s beyond what I can handle on my own."
I don't have the authority to act on my own, and it isn't a problem that can be solved easily.
"A resort without seafood... that’s a tough one."
"It certainly is. That said, we haven't set a public opening date for the port town resort, so we could delay it. If we consider the safety of the sea, it could take years. It’s not impossible to source seafood from elsewhere, though."
"...I’ll rethink that part, including consulting with Seraria. In the worst-case scenario, I could expand the dungeon’s influence to the territorial waters to facilitate fishing and station guards there."
"That carries its own risks, though."
My brother avoids using the dungeon to advance into the sea not only because of threats like Leviathans, but because he is concerned about the impact on the ecosystem. If we interfere clumsily, the movement and habitats of fish and monsters could shift, potentially causing the fish to disappear entirely. In the worst case, it might even lure in the very Leviathans we are trying to guard against. It’s the classic dilemma of not wanting to summon a top-tier threat for our own convenience.
"It’s directly linked to the quality of the cuisine, so I’d like a decision on what is and isn't possible as soon as possible. We could look into where to source it, or perhaps have the military share some of the samples they’ve collected."
"Understood. I’ll get moving on that quickly. With that, I’ll go consult with Sisua and Sona. It’s a bit rushed, but excuse me."
"Yes, please do."
With that, I saw my brother off and returned to my work. It really would be a shame to be facing the sea and have no seafood to show for it. Still, the monsters of the deep are terrifying.
