"Truly, truly a fascinating thing."
As I sat heavily in my chair, murmuring those words with deep emotion, Show and my body double stood by my side.
"Come to think of it, Your Majesty, is this your first time receiving a proper lecture from Yuki-sama and Rurua?"
"Indeed. Aside from a brief chat with Firia and the others in the bathhouse, I’ve only ever seen reports and heard accounts from you, Show, and my other subordinates."
"I have been watching from the sidelines, and it is truly remarkable. I was able to understand and even execute the techniques after hearing them just once."
As he said this, the body double changed the color of his flames to demonstrate.
It was the most fundamental of basics, to be sure. Yet, this meant he could now handle greater firepower. There was no doubt that our future metalworking and processing technologies would reach a new level. If the students who learned this were the only ones to benefit, I would be tempted to send them out to every corner of the land immediately.
"Indeed. It isn't just Rurua-dono; Yuki-dono and the others are teaching with such clarity. And there are things one only realizes when sitting at a desk as a student in the classroom."
"Oh?"
"And what might those be?"
Their reactions split at this point. Well, Show has actually been receiving medical instruction from Rurua-dono, so he understands. My body double, however, has spent so long standing on the side of the teacher and the guide that he has likely forgotten the feeling.
Shall I remind him?
"You said it yourself earlier, didn't you? That you understood it easily and could do it. That you gained new knowledge. That is growth. When you were a child, didn't it make you happy to be able to do more things?"
"……Ah, I recall such times. I see, it is indeed enjoyable."
Perhaps remembering his own childhood, a faint smile appeared on his face. Whenever I learned something new, I would smile at my parents, proud that I could do more. And I was always happy when they praised me for it.
"Yes, it is fun. The students are likely feeling their own growth even more than we are. After all, they gather after every class to chatter excitedly about the lessons. The joy of learning is clearly outweighing the sense of obligation. Though, I must say, I was sleepy during the video screening from Weed."
"Ah, I can understand that. We already know those things, after all."
"I found it quite interesting in its own way. There were places I had never been to before."
"A case of novelty winning out, then. Well, it is just a recording."
"Your Majesty has been watching quite a lot of that sort of thing with your friends lately, haven't you?"
"Oh? Is that so?"
"……Yes."
I had no choice but to look away. Show had that look on his face—the one that said I was just playing around. My body double seemed to think I was simply studious, but Show’s opinion was likely the correct one. No, this is an exchange to strengthen our ties with Weed, so there is no problem.
"However, the scheduled classes are nearly at an end. I am grateful that everything has proceeded without trouble, but I find myself wishing they could stay longer."
"I agree. I feel the same."
"Indeed. It is a pity, given how generously they share their knowledge. Is there no one who could stay behind or extend their visit?"
"If only that were possible. Unfortunately, none of the current members can remain here."
"Yes. Everyone in this group holds a core position in Weed. Since this was a request made because Yuki-sama was visiting other schools, the people accompanying him are of commensurate status."
"I see. That is true. In that case, could we not have someone else come from Weed to serve as a teacher? They need not be of the same standing as Yuki-sama or his wives."

I judged that this proposal was worth considering.
"Show, what do you think?"
"The proposal itself is not bad, but it ultimately comes down to what we want to learn and to what extent. Medicine? Industry? Or perhaps the history of Weed’s founding?"
"Ah, well, if possible, all of it."
"Indeed."
"Sigh, I understand the sentiment, but that would mean hiring teachers from Weed. And, of course, from other continents as well."

That would mean Weed would have its hands full once again.
"Still, I don't think it's impossible."
"It shouldn't be. We aren't asking for someone on Rurua-dono’s level, after all. However, we would need to coordinate the curriculum with other nations; if we just do as we please, that would cause significant problems."
"True. Once they experience these lessons, there isn't a nation that wouldn't want teachers from Weed. Everyone will want them. We would need to hold discussions to avoid friction with other countries."
"Eventually, students who have gone to Weed will grow enough to be hired as teachers themselves; this would just be a stopgap until then."
"I doubt those involved in technology or magic would want to become teachers..."
"No, and the military would also be reluctant to have teachers who have no place to shine. Besides, it is difficult to teach when one hasn't been active in the field..."
Hearing their opinions, it seems unlikely that the students who have grown will become teachers. Well, I suppose that is natural. They would likely be more motivated to develop technologies that directly lead to national progress or to distinguish themselves in the military.
"Hmm, you are right. Teaching is not a popular path."
"I don't know if 'popular' is the right word, but since it is for the sake of developing talent from the ground up, it is natural that they would flow into specialized fields."
"Generally, those who become instructors or teachers are those who have retired from the front lines. They spend at least a few years in the field first. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to trust them as teachers."

"Well, as for the students Yuki-sama mentioned, we should probably look at a timeline of at least ten years before they can take on such roles."
"By then, we should see results. So, the idea of having teachers sent from Weed—is that a viable option?"
"It is viable. Though, unless we iron out the details, they won't know what kind of personnel to send. Between the current core vehicle projects, medical conferences, and now the standardization of teaching materials, I wonder when all of this will end."
"Even if I were to ask, I don't think it will end anytime soon."
