A short story limited to April 1, 2023.

The end of a dream.

As the quiet night arrives, warm spring passes.

Awaken from the drowning joy—must rise from the bed.

As awakening deepens, the dream grows hazy. Details fade.

It will sink into the corner of memory until the day one dreams again.

Even so. Even if seen, it remains only a dream.

Yet there is no denying some small measure of fulfillment.

Only the self staring back appears before the eyes.

The display remains dark once more today.
