Chapter 15: Goodbye, My Gacha

I was sitting in front of the vacant lot’s gacha. It had been hours now. I was waiting to see if it’d actually vanish once midnight hit.

What does “end” even mean, though? Will it just stop giving out prizes even if I keep putting in money? Or will it just… disappear all of a sudden? Maybe someone’s coming to take it away?

My mind buzzed with all kinds of wild guesses.

Please, just don’t go. I want to keep spending my paycheck on this gacha forever.

I stared at the gacha, lost in thought. Every “candy” I’d pulled out of it—every single one, including the ones I’d borrowed money for—had been eaten.

I looked at my hands, activated “鉴定,” and checked my status.

Looking at it again, my stats are... insane.

While regular 【Skills】 apply their bonus to base stats, SSR 【Unique Skills】 seem to multiply their effect on already modified stats.

For example, "Strength" goes from 14 to 29.4 with Muscular Enhancement, then multiplies by five with "Invincible Might," hitting 147. This is ridiculous... cheating, even...

I grabbed a nearby stone and squeezed hard—cracks appeared, splitting it in half. Then I tossed it upward and let it fall on my head. Didn’t hurt at all.

I was just standing there, stunned… all ten months of my paycheck poured into that Gacha life—gone. Just like that.

And the next day, something unimaginable happened. A disaster no human had ever experienced before.
