Chapter 47 Titan
Flying fast toward New York—about to fight a Titan, of course. I’ve got this. First, summon three giants and send them charging in for close combat.
Close combat against a giant? Not smart... Let the giants handle it. I’ll stay back and support with my bow.
Wear down the enemy bit by bit. That was the plan.
I had some real confidence in it. The giants I summoned were the strongest I’d ever encountered—“tamed” them, and my archery skill had improved quite a bit.
Should work fine... That’s what I thought. Until I met the Titan.
“What the hell... Is that!?!”
It was the “Stone Titan”... But its form was beyond imagination. Over three hundred meters tall, magma gushing from its surface.
Wherever the Titan stepped, the ground melted into lava—charred wasteland.

“Is it even possible to be this different from the other giants...? Seriously?”
I sent my three summoned giants charging at the Titan... But—
The humanoid giant died before it even reached it. The ground was molten lava—feet seared by unimaginable heat. And the Titan’s body was radiating heat in the thousands of degrees.
The stone and metal giants managed to get close, but the metal one was already melting.
Only the stone giant remained somewhat intact—but the size difference was insane. It was pounding the Titan’s feet like it was swatting a fly. Didn’t even feel it.
Tried shooting magic arrows—fire, explosion, lightning, water, whatever—I just couldn’t hit anything.
Tried casting magic with the “Arcane Staff,” too. Water magic was already weak against rock-type giants, but this Titan was erupting magma from every inch of its body—scorching hot. Normal water magic did nothing.
But it’s still a rock giant, right? Water magic should still be its weakness!
I teleported straight to the coast. I cast water magic on the sea in front of me.
The massive seawater began spinning like a whirlpool, then shot upward in a tornado-like spiral, higher and higher.
Just ten or so kilometers to the Titan’s location. If I make a bigger water magic—this should work! The floating seawater shaped itself into a giant dragon, streaking across the sky at breakneck speed.
I poured magic into the water dragon while flying alongside it. The dragon’s body crackled with lightning, glowing golden and blazing bright—charging straight toward the giant Titan!!
“——Water Lightning World Dragon (Jörmungandr)——!!!”
It’s not smaller than him, right?! This should… this should—
The water dragon slammed into the Titan, sending up a massive cloud of steam. But wait—just before impact, the water was evaporating mid-air!!
How hot is its surface?!?! It’s not working at all… even this combined magic… no magic works on the Titan at all.
Thought I’d try “Gravity Manipulation” to increase its weight and bury it in the ground—but that failed too. The effect depends on range.
Gravity could reach up to a hundred times normal—just not over a large area. When it came to something the size of a Titan, even if I specified the range, the effect maxed out at only a few times stronger.
Even “Rock Drop,” my move designed specifically for Titans, didn’t work. I dropped it from high up—*crack!*—but it just shattered on impact. No damage at all.
"Too strong... everything's out of bounds!"
This Titan doesn’t even see me as an enemy... doesn’t even treat me like a threat!
I was arrogant... thought that just because I had power, I’d win. But I jumped too soon. I should’ve gained more experience first.
The true meaning of “strongest monster”... finally, I get it.
While the giant walked calmly across the scorching wasteland, I decided to pull back. It was the first time since I’d gotten power from the Gacha that I’d ever lost.
