Chapter 65: The Three Great Labyrinths of Siberia

Chapter 65: The Three Great Labyrinths of Siberia

Russia—

On the day of calamity, countless dungeons appeared across Russia. Monsters poured out from them, and the country suffered catastrophic damage. Yet afterward, the Russian government announced that unknown resources and items had been discovered in several of the dungeons.

Since then, Russia had tightened control over the dungeons and focused on mining them as resources. But in the Siberian region, three dungeons began spewing out monstrous creatures at an abnormal rate, causing massive casualties among the Russian military.

The Russian government eventually gave up managing those three dungeons and abandoned them.

And so it remains to this day...

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

Cutting off a goblin’s head with a sword wrapped in qi! I’ve hacked through hundreds of goblins and orcs, and yet the rank-B mithril sword, though used relentlessly, shows barely any chipping...

Still, a sword wrapped in qi really does seem to boost both sharpness and durability.

It’s the second day since I arrived in Russia. Here, humanoid monsters are appearing everywhere. Goblins, orcs, ogres—so I’ve been hunting nonstop for the past two days.

Right now, I’m in Krasnoyarsk Krai, in the Irkutsk region. I came here because Shimizu gave me a full rundown of Russia’s current situation.

Just as rumors said, the area around the dungeon is swarming with monsters. Each one isn’t particularly strong, but—good heavens—there are so many of them...

“Summon!! Come forth—Chimera!!”

Light bursts from the summoning circle. A metallic silver lion materializes.

“Clear out the entire area!”

Instantly—the Chimera vanishes. Right away, the demon beast’s fangs and claws are slick with blood, dripping from the hundreds of goblins and orcs it just wiped out. Took less than three seconds.

Massive EXP coming in. Summoned monsters earn EXP when they defeat enemies, but whether the beast itself gains EXP too… not sure.

Got my “Warrior” class board maxed out. Seventh one since I came to Russia!

Warrior Lv99

【Class Skills】

Swordsmanship Rank C → SS

Acquired “Skill” Strength Boost (I) ×17

Used up every last point on the Warrior board. Didn’t get triple “S,” but “SS” is more than enough for swordplay…

“Hmm…”

Before me, a vast hollow yawns open—darkness stretching inside. One of the three great dungeons of Siberia, the mountain labyrinth of Kirensk, in Russia.

Shimizu said the “Leader” is somewhere among these three dungeons…

Can’t tell which one, so gotta clear them one by one… From the pocket dimension, I pull out a single class board.

This one’s the way to go for dungeon clearing. That’s what I think. I touch the surface.

Explorer Lv1

【Class Skills】

Mapping Rank C

Mapping’s effect is off the charts inside dungeons… Time to push that rank up fast!

Stepping into the dungeon with the Chimera, I feel a faint chill. Deep inside, a whole swarm of monsters is stirring…

I could let the Chimera handle them—but I press my hand forward, pouring mana into it.

"Summon!! — Phoenix!!"

A bird made of blue flames bursts from the summoning circle, pushing back the darkness around it.

"Stay calm—no explosions. Might collapse, so burn the goblins to ash with fire!"

The phoenix shrieks, high-pitched and fierce, and rockets into the depths of the cave. It dives low, accelerating toward the goblins emerging from the dark. Rocks fly, clubs swing—but the phantom phoenix passes right through them, untouched.

It spreads its wings. The goblins scream as it flies straight through their bodies. Where it touches them, blue flames ignite, consuming them from the inside out!

The phoenix keeps flying deeper, toward the monsters ahead. From the darkness, a chorus of agonized shrieks echoes… then, a body rolls into view, burned black by the blue fire.

Dozens of charred goblins littered the cave floor, turning the entire chamber into a flickering, eerie glow.

Good thing those two summoned beasts are useful… the giant’s a pain to handle, though—way too big for tight spaces.

I unfold a 3D map in my palm—Explorer’s skill, Mapping. Heard the Russian dungeon’s packed with rare loot.

If I’ve got the "Mapping" skill, I can’t miss anything—path to the lowest level, treasure spots, all laid out right there…

Of course, the real goal’s still taking down the Leader. But who knows—maybe I’ll score something insane. Honestly, I’m already pumped for this dungeon…
