Chapter 67: Treasure Hunt
Russia, Tuva Republic, Toora-Hem—
A dark blue earth rose up in the forest beside the river, and within it, a massive dungeon had formed.
"This is the second great labyrinth...?"
As I stepped inside the dungeon and unfolded the 3D map, every single path across the entire structure appeared instantly. Up until now, I’d had to advance through the dungeon bit by bit, slowly piecing together the map. But now that I’d become the "Rock Cave King," I had a perfect, complete map from the very start.
Even better—I could see exactly where monsters were, and how they moved. With this, clearing the dungeon should be a breeze.
But the names and levels of the monsters aren’t shown. Whether or not they’re a "Leader" can only be confirmed directly.
Just as I was about to move forward, a heavy footstep echoed from behind. I turned around—
"An ogre...?"
A towering ogre, seven or eight meters tall, was approaching. Size-wise, it was on par with a giant... And now, orcs were starting to gather too.
Being attacked from behind would be a pain. I stepped out of the dungeon and focused magic into my hands.
"Summon! —Gigas!!"
From the magic circle emerged a giant—far larger than the ogre, at least thirty meters tall!
Gigas swung his fist down from above, crushing the ogre flat! The ogre stood frozen, stunned—never seen a monster bigger than itself before.
Gigas delivered a backfist, sending the paralyzed ogre flying. The massive body soared through the air, crashing onto the orcs below. A few were crushed instantly!
"Gigas! I’m counting on you—keep the dungeon sealed!"
The giant roared, shaking the air.
I summoned the phoenix. With its fiery light, I pushed back the darkness, advancing through the dungeon. This time, I summoned only the phoenix—no time limit, no need to rush.
Save the time-limited chimera for emergencies. Just a bit further in, two ogres burst from the bottom of the hole! Meet them with the mithril sword—no ordinary blade, though!
Flame Slash!!
The blade was wrapped in flame, and the ogre I cut through was engulfed in searing heat. "Magic Sword"—the class skill I've always wanted to be, a magic warrior.
I’m leveling up my magic sword skill here, collecting items as I go.
Checking the 3D map, the dungeon goes down to level twenty. Looks like there are more items here than in the dungeon I explored yesterday—deeper, after all.
Level 19 — underground
"Wow, you really dove deep, huh?"
It took longer than expected, gathering up all the items. So far, these items...
Elixir SR ×2
Potion C ×6
Hyperion U ×3
Mana Potion C ×4
Elixir R ×2
Platinum 3.7 kg
2.4 kg of gold
Silver 4.3 kg
Copper 5.1 kg
Brass, 4.8 kg
Thunder Gem U
Crystal of Light U
Earth Rune U
Dark Gem U
White Gemstone U
Freyja's Fang U
Scale of the Earthworm R
Wind-Cutter Feather C
Broken Armor C
Still, finding hidden items is huge... cash, silver, even platinum. Don't know the market rates or anything, but it's gotta be a serious amount of money, right?
...Alright! Once things settle down, I’ll head out and sell it. Maybe I can finally escape this broke life.
There’s stuff like healing potions too… supposedly they stretch your life a bit, but me? With the eternal life skill? Totally irrelevant.
And I’ll get my hands on the last hidden item here on the 19th floor.
It was quietly placed in a dim, narrow tunnel beyond the shattered earthen wall. A single sword. Not just any sword! Absolutely massive—easily over two meters long.
No fancy decorations at all. The blade, the hilt—everything was a dull reddish-brown. After鉴定ing it—
Adamantium Greatsword SR
Made of extremely hard metal
Ancient greatsword
Adamantium... huh? I pick it up. The weight hits me instantly. Probably around 500 kilograms?
Not impossible to hold, but with the "Gravity Manipulation" skill, I can adjust the perceived weight. Lighten it when swinging, then crank it up to 100 times heavier right before impact. That’d be some serious force, right?
Looks crude, but honestly... it feels like it was made for me.
I grip the greatsword in one hand and head down to the lowest level—the 20th floor...
Only one monster lives there. The space feels huge. I send the phoenix up high, letting it blaze the ceiling with firelight.
A shadow, at least ten meters tall, appears. "A troll?" I think. But no—closer inspection shows a single-eyed giant. After鉴定ing it—
Cyclops
Warrior Lv2102
"Cyclops... not a Leader, then."
But damn, that level’s high! Perfect chance to test out this Adamantium greatsword’s real power.
I channel my "qi" into the blade. The entire edge glows faintly with aura. The Cyclops charges forward, wielding a massive hammer, roaring like thunder!!
I focus on the greatsword, raised high above my head, and swing with everything I’ve got!
One flash—
Silence for a heartbeat... then the Cyclops splits clean in two.
Blood was pouring everywhere—but what was even weirder was the scene behind the cyclops... deep gashes carved into the walls and ground, stretching dozens of meters ahead.
This is the first weapon I've ever put everything into... and it still didn't break.
I teleport back to the surface. Defeating the cyclops maxed out my mage warrior's职业 board.
Magic Warrior Lv99
[Occupational Skill]
Magic Sword Rank F → D
Acquired "Magic": Lightning Magic (I) ×1, Darkness Magic (I) ×2
Light Magic (Level 1) ×1
"Sun's already setting... "
I’ll tackle the final labyrinth tomorrow. If there really is a “Leader” among the Three Great Labyrinths, I’ll meet them tomorrow…
