Kneeling beside the Black Knight, I press my hand against their neck, checking for life. The Black Knight was already dead.
I hold up my hand, pouring magic into it.

The light magic circle didn’t activate. Nothing happened. Of course… when the Black Knight removed their helmet, a man in his late twenties with red hair appeared.
Sharp features, clearly not Japanese, but still human… not a monster with a "magical core," just a regular human.

Then, the Black Knight’s skin suddenly began to glow. Her entire body turned into particles of light, rising into the sky as if dissolving into the air.
What the hell!?
I blink—there it is, a tiny pillar of light right in front of me.
Something was spinning inside it. I reached out, grabbed the Sō (・) Re (・), and the beam of light vanished, reduced to a single thread of glow.
Looking at what I’d grabbed, it was a single “Career Board.”

Leo and the others are approaching. I stand up, about to go toward them, when I notice the Black Knight’s sword lying on the ground.
Was it supposed to vanish into light… and not?...

As I approached Gojo, a single crack appeared in the space behind him. The crack slowly widened, and something began to crawl out from within the pitch black.
“What the—!?”
Dozens of hands grabbed the edge of the space, tearing the dark hole wider. A monster—blue skin, red eyes, a crescent-shaped sword in hand—
“Lavana! You’re still alive!?”
The “Leader,” now fully emerged from the dark hole, stood directly in front of Gojo. With a vajra in his left hand, he summoned lightning, and raised his crescent sword high above his head.
Lightning struck the blade, transforming it into a thunder magic sword that swung down toward Gojo. Multiple arms, each imbued with different magical properties, attacked Gojo from all directions.
I have to tell Gojo he’s immortal!
“Gojo! That guy’s immortal—”
The moment I spoke, Gojo lightly swung his sword. The black lattice-like blade left behind countless afterimages, slicing through Lavana’s body.
The Leader was sliced to pieces, each fragment further cleaved into even smaller bits. All that remained was a tiny square-shaped chunk of flesh.
Gojo hovers his hand over the shattered "Leader."

The magic circle unfolds—tiny, sliced pieces of Lavana swirl together, coalescing into a single point, forming a black "magic core."
The mana core dissolved into the magic circle, vanishing like it was being swallowed.
Gojo picks something up from the ground at his feet and walks toward me as if nothing happened...
