I lost control—please forgive me!

I lost control—please forgive me!

Today, as always, I’m putting everything into hunting Geji.

Ugh.

Geji paradise, indeed!

Even if they look disgusting, close your eyes and they’re the perfect prey.

Well, I don’t have the delicate nerves to care, and right now I’m starting to feel affection for that swarming form.

Geji are the best!

My Paralysis Resistance has reached Level 3—my level should be nearing Level 8 soon.

Truly, Geji are my saviors.

Just now, I went all in and attacked two at once—managed to defeat them with surprising ease.

First, I pinned one with a surprise assault. Then I engaged the second in direct combat.

After fighting normally, I realized Geji are surprisingly fast.

Not as fast as me, of course.

Also, it seems Geji only have one attack method: biting.

Probably the bite carries paralysis, but if it misses, it’s nothing to worry about.

As long as one remained vigilant against bites, the rest was effortless.

I’ve never seen a monster weaker than me by race before.

Thus, it was confirmed that victory over Geji was guaranteed, whether by ambush or frontal assault.

Hahahaha!

I am in a state of TUEEEEEEE.

I can't stop laughing.

Also, geji is good because it’s easy to eat.

Appears voluminous at a glance, but upon actual consumption, the flesh is surprisingly minimal.

One creature is enough to fill the stomach, but not enough to satisfy hunger.

Thus, even if overhunted, it can be consumed entirely with no remainder.

For one who holds the spirit of frugality, leaving behind even a single morsel is an unforgivable sin.

Geji that can be eaten entirely is very good.

Exactly what is meant by "attended to with utmost care."

Geji were born to be hunted by me, it seems.

Hehehe.

I’ve been straying far from my home, crossing plenty of dangerous bridges. So, it’s not like I’ll be punished for enjoying myself once in a while.

Exploring, exploring, humming to myself.

Well, I’m just imagining music in my head—no actual humming, really.

Where’s my nose, anyway?

Never mind.

Huh?

The path ends?

But it’s not a dead end.

This maze is impossibly vast, with no dead ends at all.

Every path I’ve taken so far has continued indefinitely. No alleys, no cul-de-sacs.

It’s good that I won’t be cornered when fleeing. But thinking about how every path just goes on forever… how huge is this place, really? I can’t help but sigh.

Could this world be nothing but this dungeon—entirely underground? I find myself wondering.

I’d like to believe otherwise. But in truth, I’ve never left this dungeon. I’ve never seen the outside.

The idea isn’t entirely implausible.

Even if an outside world exists, I might die here, trapped within these walls, before ever reaching it.

Ideally, I’d like to live out my days naturally—but the odds of that seem low.

I’ve thought about it before: how long, exactly, is my lifespan?

Given my size, I might live as long as a dog.

I’d prefer to live as long as I did in my previous life—or longer.

But these thoughts are pointless. Set them aside.

The path ahead appears to end in a cliff.

Beyond the broken trail, a wide space is visible.

Has this finally brought me out of the narrow maze zone?

[Skill Level Up: Identification LV4 has been upgraded to Identification LV5]

Ugghh!

Headache!

A flood of Identification data poured in—like a blow to the skull.

Oof! For a moment, consciousness nearly slipped away.

Dangerous. Dangerous.

Ah. So Identification causes pain when overused—too much information overwhelms the mind.

Losing consciousness over that kind of data load...

...That much information?

Soryu glances down the cliff.

"Cliff" is a misnomer—just over a meter in drop.

Right at the base, an open space spreads out.

But the space didn't feel open.

It was entirely filled—overflowing—with centipedes.

Huh!?

What is this? What is this? What is this!?

Endless, endless centipedes—everywhere, all around.
