Stepping through the door, a wide hall comes into view.

A crimson carpet extends straight from the doorway, leading to a dais and a man standing behind it.

Along the walls, a large number of people silently observe from a distance.

All present are upper nobles.

I and Su walk silently along the carpet.

With the posture taught for this day—stately and dignified.

Noble gazes pierce through, but I avoid acknowledging them as much as possible.

Eventually, we reach the front of the dais.

We stop, then kneel.

Facing the man standing behind the dais—the current king, and also our father, Meijes Dela Anareit.

"Commencing the assessment ritual."

The king's voice, filled with authority, echoes through the hall.

Father, in name only—I’ve met him fewer times than I can count.

Perhaps that’s why he feels less like kin and more like a distant noble relative.

That sense of distance amplifies the tension.

The king’s voice continues, but the words fail to register in my mind.

“Then, Shrein Zagan Anareit. Rise.”

“Yes.”

I rise at the summons.

“Begin the assessment.”

I step forward a few paces and ascend the platform placed before the pedestal.

Without it, my current height would not reach the pedestal.

Embedded in the pedestal was a black stone.

That stone was the鉴定 stone—but smaller than expected.

Small enough to fit in an adult’s palm.

I place my hand on it, surprised despite myself.

I focus as instructed during the prior briefing, concentrating to initiate the assessment.

The assessment succeeded with little difficulty. My status appeared.

The king attempts to calm them, but the noise does not subside.

The result was clearly beyond standard.

The outcome, while expected to some degree, matched my own assessment.

My magical aptitude is significantly high.

Anya confirmed it with a definitive verdict.

In contrast, my physical attributes are merely average for my age.

Not exceptionally high, even among peers—certainly not extraordinary like my magic.

Thus, the imbalance in my status values.

With regard to skills, I had nearly complete knowledge, as the voice known as Divine Speech had taught me each time I leveled up or acquired a new one.

Yet two skills remained unknown to me.

One was Heavenly Blessing, and the other was a skill with text that appeared distorted, meaning unclear.

I became curious about the two and performed an鉴定.

Heavenly Blessing is extraordinary.

I have no idea what kind of skill this is.

Even with the highest-grade鉴定 stone, this result remains meaningless.

If this fails, then investigating the details of this skill will be impossible.

Utterly incomprehensible.

"Is it the same as the duke's daughter's?"

Whispers from the nobles grow louder, punctuated by the occasional mention of "duke's daughter."

Could there really be another person with a skill level like mine?

The king's voice, louder than the rest, cuts through the hall. The noise subsides.

The king hands me a single sheet of paper.

This paper records the鉴定 result, captured by a magic device linked to the鉴定 stone and printed via an inscription magic tool.

I accept it respectfully.

I bow once, then step back.

My鉴定 ceremony is complete.

Next is Syrilis's turn.

The hall stirred again at Syrilis achieving nearly identical results to mine—no surprise there.

Unlike me, Syrilis lacked celestial blessing and the mysterious glyph-shifting skill.
