"What is it? Suddenly showing up like this?"

On the day of Halloween, I had突击ed D's place.

Don't you know!?

Halloween is one of two major events where you can demand sweets from adults!

The other is Valentine's Day.

I am technically female in biological classification, but I’m making an exception for friendship chocolates.

I don’t have friends, though!

Anyway, it’s Halloween now.

A delightful festival where children demand sweets from adults.

Therefore, I came to demand sweets from D.

I even prepared myself with full resolve—crafted a witch girl costume just for this day.

Witch girl Spiderling, complete!

Now hand over the sweets!

"Yes."

D handed me a snack candy, purchasable for ten yen.

That’s not it!

This really is delicious, just as the name suggests!

But in events like this, proper sweets should be prepared, right?

"Even so, these are the only ones available right now."

Gngh!

"Since you're already dressed like that, how about going out to buy sweets?"

"Eh? No way."

Going out like this would draw too much attention.

Why must I endure this kind of humiliation?

"Then why did you come here looking like this?"

"Feeling."

For the first time, D's blank expression seemed frightening.

I couldn't tell what he was thinking.

I believe I maintain a poker face in public, but not quite to D's level.

After a brief pause, D stood up abruptly.

What had been ordinary casual clothes while sitting now, in an instant, transformed into a matching witch-girl costume identical to mine.

Even with the power of the sea-born eyes, the moment of changing clothes remained as inexplicable as ever.

"Shall we go?"

"Where to?"

"Outdoors, naturally."

"Why?"

"It seems more interesting that way."

Resisting was futile. I was dragged to the cosplay festival venue.

Let it be said only that I was in high demand as a twin witch-girl.
