Character introductions up to Chapter 2 (with minor behind-the-scenes details) ※ spoilers ahead
Character introductions (spoilers inside—be careful.)
Age reflects the state at the end of Chapter 2.
Elen (Element) — female, 8 → 12
Protagonist. Reincarnated with memories of a 28-year-old researcher. Born as a spirit of the Quarters, ruling over elements. Her powers bloom, and at age twelve, she becomes a goddess.
She has silver straight hair, like her father—but the strands that spring out sideways on both sides are from his blood. Her eyes are purple, but they shift in strange ways, like a mystical topaz, reflecting all sorts of colors depending on the angle.
Because of this, people often reach out to touch her eyes, thinking they’re gems. So she’s afraid of humans, and avoids getting too close.
In daily life, her past-life memories are faint—she’s basically just a child.
She’s childlike in face and build, which she secretly hates. Occasionally, she’s triggered, and emotions explode.
Her memories of her past life are fading year by year. That’s the backdrop to her wish—her father, to cherish the family in the human world.
Lovell (Lovell Vanclift), male, 17 → 27 → 31
(Elen was born when he was 18.)
Elen’s father. Incredibly handsome, just like his mother, who was famed across the realms for her beauty. Originally, he had chestnut hair and sapphire eyes, but after becoming half-spirit, his hair turned silver and his eyes shifted to violet—though they still hold a flicker of the original blue, mixed with the red of Origin.
His hair is mostly straight, but the very ends curl into soft ringlets. That’s from his mother’s blood.
At 17, he encountered the Monster Tempest. He resolved it with the spirit Origin, whom he’d made a pact with. Afterward, he was hailed as a hero. He hates being called that, though.
After the Monster Tempest, I’d been holding back for ages, cooped up behind nobleman’s fences. Now I’m finally speaking up—straightforward, no sugarcoating. I hate things I hate. Everyone’s surprised how different I am since returning to the Human World. But really, this is just how Lovell was meant to be.
He spent about ten years recuperating in the Spirit World after nearly dying. He should’ve been dead, but Origin wouldn’t let that happen. Instead, they merged Lovell’s body with a spirit’s essence, transferred his soul, and turned him into a half-spirit. He has no idea about any of this.
Ori (Origin, King of the Primal) — Female
The Mother of All, a spirit queen, a goddess. Elen’s mother.
She has two sisters—Voor and Varr—and the three of them manage the world.
She has golden hair, red eyes, and a generous chest. She claims to make humans just for fun. Among them, she took interest in Lovell, nurtured affection, and gave birth to Elen.
She’s laid-back and nurturing, with a motherly warmth that wraps around everything—but don’t be fooled. Just moments ago, she was shouting about hurling a ball of fire at Agiel. That’s how emotional she gets.
Sauvel Vanclift, male, 15 → 25 → 29
Lovell’s younger brother. Became head of the family after their father died in the Monster Tempest and their older brother vanished into the Spirit World without returning.
Terrible luck with women. Agiel treats her however she wants, but she loves Aria and gives birth to Raffilia. Looks nothing like her brother—more like their father, big and bulky.
Serious, stiff, and awkward. But a master of swordplay. Commands the knight’s guild.
And, unfortunately, completely clueless when it comes to romance.
Raffilia Vanclift, female, 8 → 12
Sauvel’s daughter. Same age as Elen.
Takes her mother’s words to heart, resents her father, and rebels. Rejects noble education while still talking like a noble, earning scorn from everyone around.
Enrolls in the academy, but earns hatred from both nobles and commoners, repeatedly causing fights and getting expelled.
Later, learns the truth her mother had concealed, and reforms her ways.
Discovers Amiel was behind it all, and resolves to change herself—to prove a point.
Aria Vanclift, female, 24 → 28
(Bore Raffilia at sixteen)
Raffilia’s mother. Her family ran a noble knight’s favorite dining hall. She met Sauvel there, fell in love, and bore Raffilia.
But Sauvel was already married to Agiel. Though initially scorned by society, she grew fond of the sympathy she received from men after Agiel’s misdeeds—and began taking many lovers.
Then, finally marrying Sauvel, she was warned by the goddess for her infidelity—but ignored even that, continuing her affairs. Four years after the wedding, they divorced.
Sent back to the common folk, her past deeds were exposed by Amiel’s scheming, and she was abandoned by everyone around her. Unable to bear it, she vanished.
Isabella Vanklyft, female (grandmother)
Mother of Lovell and Sauvel. Grandmother of the protagonist.
Once known as a woman of unparalleled beauty. The reason the protagonist’s hair curls at the ends? That’s her blood.
Blonde hair, blue eyes. Adores Elen fiercely, often competing with Lovell over her.
Extremely similar in personality to Lovell. Her tales of defiance with her husband have become legendary among the noble circles.
Lauren, male (grandfather)
Head steward of the Vanklyft Family. Occasionally steps in to manage the family affairs in place of Sauvel.
Sharp-tongued and former knight. Involved in royal family espionage, fell for Van’s father and became steward of the Vanklyft Family. Spoils Elen like a granddaughter.
Supposedly spins all sorts of legends behind closed doors.
Albert, male, 24 → 34 → 38
Vanklyft Family guard. Knight.
Once guarded Lovell, but during the Monster Tempest, the head of the family shielded him—only to die.
Back then, he’d just married and was expecting a child. “Show the child his father’s face,” was the head’s final words. He’s carried that weight ever since.
To protect the Vanklyft Family, now ruined because of Gadiel, he became a pawn for Ravisel.
Midway, Lovell finds out—game over, job done—only to be saved by Elen.
Kai, male, 14 → 16
Albert’s son. Grew up hearing, over and over, how his father had been saved from the Vanklyft Family.
He truly believes his family exists only because of the Vanklyft Family—and that he must protect Elen, who saved his father. So he swears loyalty to her, heart and soul.
Becomes a man of renown by making a pact with Van.
Balver Vanklyft (deceased)
Father of Lovell and Sauvel, grandfather of Elen. Died shielding Albert during the Monster Tempest.
※The manga version spells his name Bauffer.
The Royal Family (Tembar Kingdom)
Ravisel Lar Tembar — Male
Blonde hair, blue eyes. Long hair tied back and flowing to the side.
Sly. Utterly, completely sly. Prioritizes the nation above all else. A real schemer.
Gadiel Lar Tembar — Male, 12 → 16
First Prince. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Looks remarkably like his father.
I reached out to Elen the first time I met her, and her pale face made me do it—got cursed by a spirit, of course.
Elen learns of the royal family’s curse, but Gadiel, moved by pity for the spirit, attempts to apologize—only to be told by Elen that the royal family must not apologize.
I'm tormented by the dilemma of wanting to get close to Elen but being unable to.
Ciel Larr Temple Female 10 years old → 14 years old
The first princess. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Identical to the queen. The queen and the king's favorite, with exceptional intelligence-gathering skills. Her specialty is embroidery.
The girl with the eyes of an eagle, named for the meaning of "sky."
Rasell Lar Tenbair, male, 9 → 13
The second prince. Fair-haired, blue-eyed. Resembles the queen. Meets Elen alongside his older brother, but is felled by the curse and passes out. Later, he wishes to meet Elen with his brother, but sulks because his brother got there first.
Agier Lil Tenbair (Agie), female, 15 → 25 (during the sentencing in Chapter 1)
Formerly Agier Vanclift. Sister of Lavisel. Former princess.
As a child, fell head-over-heels for Lovell and shadowed him constantly. Believed, due to being pampered, that she could get away with anything—so she did.
When setting out toward the Monster Tempest, Lovell broke off their engagement because there was no guarantee she’d come back alive. She held that grudge and set out to get even.
Once she realized Lovell had vanished into the Spirit World and never returned, she saw only two reasons to act: she didn’t want to be left behind, and she wanted revenge. So she forced her younger brother Sauvel into marriage.
For years, she’d mocked Sauvel, drained the family fortune, and then, nine years after the wedding, left him.
Gave birth to Amiel—but no one knows who the father is.
Amiel Lil Tenbair, female, 8 → 12
Formerly Amiel Vanklyft. Daughter of Agiel, and looks remarkably like her mother.
Spreads cruelty alongside her mother, yet harbors a deep grudge against the Vanklyft Family after her mother was condemned.
Enjoyed manipulating Raffilia’s rumors behind the scenes just to spread her own. Father remains unknown.
Gadiel’s guard
Labe, male, 21, Royal Guard, hot-blooded
Fogel, male, 22, Royal Guard, exceptionally intelligent, quiet
Truuk, male, 18, Royal Guard, stealthy, master swordsman
Truuk is the grandson of Lauren’s older brother. Deeply admires Lauren’s legendary skill.
Hume Belundoor, male, 12 → 16
Youngest ever to become a court physician. Bound to Ashth.
Held hostage by his mother, forced to obey Balfa’s will.
Liliana Belundoor, female
Hume’s mother. Lost her husband when Hume was young. Later taken in by Balfa, became a countess—only to be tormented by the countess, broken in body, and confined to bed.
Seems she was secretly holding her son hostage behind the scenes.
Balfa Belundoor, male (Headmaster)
Head of the noble family that has managed the academy for generations.
Noticed Elen’s medicine, and schemed to forcibly bring her into the academy just to learn her formula.
But he was quickly exposed by Elen, who laid bare every detail of his plot.
Shows relentless persistence—will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
Molst, male, teacher of healing arts
Muskell Baigalrd, male, teacher of knightly arts
Instructor for Lovell and Kai. The only one who knows Lovell’s nickname.

Voor, female (goddess)
Origin’s elder sister. Goddess who sees all.
Vaal, female (goddess)
Origin’s elder sister. Goddess of judgment.
The two elder goddesses are called the Dual Goddesses together.
Vint, Male (Great Spirit of Wind)
Holds a chancellor-like role in the Spirit World.
Call her Elen "my lady." The child is Van.
Van male (Great Spirit of Wind)
Vint's offspring. A silver tiger in beast form. But three times the size of a normal tiger. Long fur around the neck.
I like having Elen brush my hair, or just being petted by her.
Still newly incarnated—still unstable in power. Will later make a pact with Kai.
Ashth 男 (本名・Fairshantan・精霊・知恵)
The spirit bound to the Hume. Not a spirit of nature, which makes it an extremely rare kind—but completely unnoticed.
Called Ashut for short, since their original name was too long. Shape is rabbit-like. Refers to Elen as "himesama" and happily jumps at her.
I’m a spirit of wisdom, so I can figure out most things in the human world and the Spirit World. But whatever Elen made? Too complicated. I love it when Elen and the Hume stroke my head.

Cleiren – Male (Great Spirit of Healing)
Hose – Male (Great Spirit of Wind)
Shtu – Male (Great Spirit of Wind)

Arc – Male (Great Spirit of Magic Element Circulation)
Licht’s older brother. The first child Origin created.
Was napping peacefully in the human world when suddenly被抓 by humans and turned into an experiment subject.
Rescued by Elen after 300 years, but upon learning the circumstances, instantly falls head over heels for her and proposes marriage—only to be rejected on the spot. Still, he refuses to give up easily.
He'll pop up in front of Elen whenever he gets the chance, trying to make his move, but Lovell keeps a close eye on him, making things frustratingly difficult.
Elen calls him “Arc-nii-sama.”
