Letting out a breath as if releasing the tension from my shoulders.

I had been desperately working on my university graduation project in my room.

Three days had passed with me glued to the desk.

There was plenty of time left on the schedule. Still, since it was the final assignment, I had put in my all.

Looking back, I chose this university because I love creating things, and it has an engineering department. It's my fourth year here.

So many things have happened...

Making things is expensive, so I could only ever build toy-like projects.

But once my thesis is done, I'll have some time before starting graduate school.

I'll use this free time to work multiple part-time jobs and save up for materials.

Even though I haven't done much lately, I've made plans to hang out with my robot club nerd friend.

As I organize the completed documents, I find myself thinking about what's next—my lips naturally curl into a smile.

I had just finished checking over and submitting the completed assignment.

Suddenly, in a room that should have been empty except for me, I heard a noise.

Startled, I looked toward the sound and saw the ceramic cup I'd bought long ago, along with the thick physics textbook I'd used for the project, floating in midair.

No way—something impossible. They were being sucked into a large black hole.

I stared, stunned. That was my mistake.

By the time I realized it, my body was already floating in midair.

Without a chance to scream, I was sucked into the mysterious black hole.

In the room where everyone had vanished, objects were pulled in unnatural directions, and several items were missing. The room's owner had disappeared without a trace.

I must have lost consciousness without noticing. When I opened my eyes, I was in some unknown forest.

Scattered around were books, cups, and stationery that had been pulled in with me.

I stood there, stunned, but soon began scanning my surroundings to make sense of my current situation.

After a long moment of thought.

Is this real?

I kept circling the same thoughts over and over.

I couldn't recall any phenomenon that could explain something like this.

Though I immediately thought of it, I dismissed it as impossible and tucked the idea into the back of my mind.

"Could it really be... a transfer to another world!?"

That's ridiculous, I thought. It can only happen in a story, right!?

But I definitely remember working on my graduation project at home.

Then, a black hole I'd never seen before appeared, and I was sucked in.

I may have studied engineering for four years at university. That couldn't possibly be a natural phenomenon.

For now, I picked up whatever was lying around and began walking through the forest.

The temperature was neither hot nor cold—pleasant and comfortable. Was it spring? I wasn't sure, but it didn't seem like things would resolve themselves anytime soon.

reality didn't progress smoothly, like in anime or games.

I was still deep in the forest. No, I was completely lost.

I couldn't tell which plants were edible, so I couldn't eat properly, and though nights grew quite cold, I couldn't start a fire, making it hard to stay warm.

I'd read about survival techniques in books, but had never actually tried them.

To a beginner, it was as if I knew nothing at all.

I finally reached a wide-open area, but collapsed from sheer exhaustion.

Is this where I’m going to die... I still had so many things I wanted to do...

Just as my consciousness faded, many people passed through the open space.

The place where I collapsed was a path formed within the forest.

People found me lying there, conferred briefly, and immediately began rescue efforts.

I tried doing something in the isekai genre, and I did it.
