4: Viridian Anila Vanilla Generator
It's the fourth episode today.
"Hello, yes. May I ask who you are and what brings you here?"
I step slightly apart from the three crew members—a crewman, a colony staff member, and an android—and take another look at the two girls approaching us.
"I am Viridian Anila Vanilla Generator, here to confirm my reservation aboard the 'Tsumebakei.'"
The girl with golden, fluffy hair politely announced her name with clear pronunciation and a gentle voice, then stated her purpose for boarding, presenting her identification with graceful movements.
Well, judging by the length of her name, she's almost certainly noble-born.
Nobles tend to have more people they interact with due to their status, so their names tend to be longer to avoid duplication.
Occasionally, commoners adopt long names to seem noble, but in Viridianiara's case, her mannerisms alone prove she's genuine.
Even without considering her manners, she's undeniably a breathtakingly beautiful young woman—there's no doubt she belongs to the upper class.
"Confirmed. You are indeed Miss Viridianiara Bananagengroot, boarding the 'Tsumebakei' today."
"Thank you very much."
Her outfit consists of a dress with a jacket draped over it, boots, and a belt cinched at the waist to accentuate her figure.
She wears bracelets on both wrists and a spiral-shaped hair ornament on the right side of her head.
Her weapon is a compact blaster pistol holstered at her waist.
All items are of high quality—accessible to commoners, but still more naturally associated with nobility.
"Ah, um, excuse me, but may I ask your reason for boarding? As you can see, we're not exactly a grand vessel."
"Reporting. And, um, if it's not too impolite to ask, also sightseeing. I'd like to take a look around at various things."
"Oh, uh, right... I see..."
Well, from what I can tell, there's nothing particularly abnormal or suspicious about it.
The quality of the mods used seems good, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The faint greenish glow flickering around the eyes—likely due to the body-enhancement mod—is concerning, but then again, such a trait wouldn't be unusual among nobles.
Though I feel a bit intimidated, thinking I must treat them carefully, just like the crew members, there's no real need to fear they might suddenly go wild.
After a few questions and scans, Vilijanira was cleared of any issues.
"Shall we proceed now?"
"Ah, sorry. May I ask who you are?"
"My name is Memo Mekushi Aichō. Here is my identification."
Now, the other girl.
She appears to be a girl-type Gynoid, completely clad in a classic maid outfit.
A type of gynoid designed to appear as close as possible to a purely human form, lacking any mechanical appearance except for the ears—and quite frankly, an extremely expensive one.
In terms of price.
Purpose of boarding?
It's all thanks to Lord Vee. The memo is Lord Vee's servant, after all.
Judging by their relationship and appearance, she's likely been the专属 maid android of Viridiana since childhood.
Androids and cyborgs typically have a five-year employment period set by their manufacturer.
Unlike cyborgs, androids can exchange information with other units via wireless communication.
Therefore, continuing to serve Viridiana beyond the employment period... well, it's a sign of her master's normality.
She's not displaying any unusual behavior either.
Moreover, although no weapons are visible on Memoqui's appearance, if she is a Gairoid... she likely has at least one or two built-in blasters, and her physical capabilities should be far beyond those of a human, so she should be well-prepared.
"Scan complete. No unauthorized or illegal items were found on either of you."
"Thank you."
"……"
The scan has been successfully completed.
At the same time, I looked at the crew member and gave a slight shake of my head.
A signal indicating no issues were detected.
Receiving the signal, the crew member nodded slightly.
"Understood. Then, please follow me. I'll be guiding you aboard the *Tsumebakei*."
"Got it."
"Then, we on the colony side will leave it here. Have a safe journey."
"Thank you."
Now, let's begin the transfer.
The colony staff and android stayed behind as the crew members, me, Vilijanira, and Memokshi approached the tube for boarding the *Tsumebakei* in that order.
Our ship is cargo-focused, so crew members move around using tubes equipped with internal modules for zero-gravity and related movement mechanics. Once inside, relax, let yourself drift, and move forward with the flow.
Understood.
After giving a brief bow to the Vilijanira and others, I stepped into the tube ahead of them.
My body immediately freed itself from the influence of the gravity mods spreading across the colony, floating upward before slowly descending toward the tube’s end—the boarding entrance of the *Tsumebakei*.
Yeah, I knew the concept of "ladies first" existed in various star systems, but I decided it was entirely inappropriate to apply it here. That judgment was correct.
They haven't entered the tube yet, but considering the situation of falling from above, I suppose it's not a bad idea to follow through.
As I was thinking this, I had already moved to the upper part of the Tsumebakei, entering through the open hatch.
"Welcome aboard the Tsumebakei. Sir."
"Please take care of us for the next little while. Crew member."
I landed on the cushion prepared at the entrance.
After aligning my body with the gravity direction inside the Tsumebakei, I exchanged greetings with another crew member who had come to welcome me, then moved slightly to the side.
"Y-You're… welcome aboard. Welcome to the Tsumebakei. I-I hope we can work well together."
"We look forward to working together."
"Ah, yes, we look forward to working together."
Following that, Meikoshi and then Vilijianira arrived, one after the other.
The crew member who had come to greet us clearly seemed off-kilter...
"Well, I guess that's to be expected."
"I know it's unrealistic, even if you say it's inevitable."
Yeah, if a girl so stunningly beautiful that she's clearly a once-in-a-generation beauty suddenly appeared out of nowhere, any man would naturally be flustered.
You'd act suspiciously.
Stiffen up oddly.
There's really nothing you can do about it.
It's just the tragic fate of men—so long as it doesn't cause real harm, I'd appreciate it if you'd overlook it.
"Alright, the current time is... hmm. Then, you three, we have about two hours until the 'Tsumebakei' departs for the Grogrobeta star system, so I'll give you a brief onboard overview. Please follow me."
"Understood."
"Got it."
"Um, camera confirmed. Notebook confirmed. Then, please."
The crew member begins moving.
Well, for now, I'll set aside my concerns about Virijianira.
I have to conduct proper reporting from here onward, for the sake of my own life.
I straighten myself, double-checking the app running on my information terminal.
Then, I begin moving toward the crew member.
