115: Heavily Congested Nelianipotts

"Transition to autonomous navigation complete. From now on, 'Sexy MiAzuma' will begin moving toward our destination, the Imperial Army's Nelianipotts Base Colony. The estimated travel time is approximately nine hours."

Having successfully completed the scan at the guide colony without any issues, we begin our journey toward our first destination—the colony designated by the local intelligence unit.

The journey will use sublight travel, but it's said to take nine hours... Well, I suppose we'll have plenty of time to kill for now.

"Still, it's specifically recommended to use the autopilot function—there are just an overwhelming number of spacecraft out here."

"That's true. But it's only natural. The Nellianipotts system is essentially a 'sports mecca,' where championship matches from competitions across the empire are held daily."

"So, you're saying that participants, officials, and tourists are constantly coming and going?"

"That's exactly right. And since so many people are arriving, we need supplies and personnel to support them. That's why, just as Satā's main body observes, there are countless spacecraft traveling back and forth."

With that, we decide to double-check the documents and conduct further reconnaissance through the main body to verify the information.

Due to the issue of information freshness, data obtained from the Flaretanbo system is entirely different from data gathered on-site at the Narianipotts system.

We need to verify this carefully.

Moreover, although we were told there are many spacecraft, and as previously mentioned, the swarm of passing spacecraft appears as lines in the Narianipotts system… the number of such lines emerging from the guide colony connected to the Flaretanbo system is clearly far fewer.

Well, I suppose that's just how it is.

After all, it's the Flaretanbo system.

Incidentally, in the Narianipotts system, it seems that up to about 20 to 30 percent of the humans currently residing within the system have come from other star systems for various reasons.

As previously mentioned, competitions are held daily, but the number of finals isn't always just one—on occasions when the dates aligned, as many as thirty finals, large and small, have taken place simultaneously.

Still, the place is like a never-ending festival, with constant turnover of people.

Conversely, if one can skillfully hide among the crowd, it becomes easier to commit crimes using that environment.

In other words, in the Narianipotts star system, the first things to watch out for would be theft, fraud, illegal gambling, illicit trade, and surprise attacks hidden within the dense crowd—crimes that can be carried out without a spaceship, relying solely on one's body.

With that, Memoqsi and Johalis concluded their search using the 'Hetero Mirror' to detect different OS carriers, as requested by Vilijanira.

I double-checked the analysis data just to be sure, but there was no reaction other than mine.

"If I may say so, if something like what happened in the Méglinia incident at the Flaretanbo system were to occur in the Niriani Potts system, the damage would be incomparable. I'm really glad it wasn't happening here."

"Yeah, that's right. If something like that happened in a place with so many people, it wouldn't just be chaos—it'd be a total disaster."

I'm glad I wasn't there.

If we had fought in the Nelliani Potts System like we did in the Flaretanbo System, who knows how many innocent lives would have been lost in the crossfire.

The fact that no other cosmic monsters seem to be around is truly good news.

"Just as a precaution, please use the 'Hetero Mirror' once a day to collect data."

As for Satan's Golden Ring, which controls my Event Collapse Cannon, I've left it at Seiryō Corporation for repairs after transferring there myself following the battle with Megalynia.

I expect it will be repaired within a few days... but there's no rush to pick it up; I can do that whenever I have free time.
