The day after the Wyvern was defeated.

Shiro decided to verify the divine spell. It would mostly be a discussion between Shiro and Mitoka, though everyone else had joined in, saying they wanted to listen as reference.

" The seal itself was a Time Stop Barrier, right? And its origin point was the earth spirit crystal. Or rather, the crystal was the anchor object, with the barrier space attached to it—yes, that’s correct?"

"Yes, that’s right."

"Then, the barrier itself exists in its own space, where time is frozen... So, could we just synchronize the flow of time and transfer them here directly?"

"...Yes, that’s right. The space is separate from our own, so it can’t be connected directly to our world... well, it’s not impossible, but teleportation would be the simplest method.

Create an isolation barrier here, teleport them in, then remove the virus. It’d be safer than using a gate," Mitoka said.

"Ah, right. So transferring them here is fine, but the real issue is the virus..." Shiro mused.

"An easy method, but one I think is reliable: full-body scan to detect and remove the virus. The problem is, detecting and removing something at the virus level requires extremely precise magical manipulation... and that kind of precision means the total amount of magic needed will be considerable."

"Shiro, I have a backup plan," Mitoka said.

"A backup plan? What kind?" Shiro looked at her, puzzled.

"We’ll use HLSL. It’s actually implemented here in this world, though only in limited ways."

"Seriously?!" Shiro was surprised.

HLSL stood for High Level Seirei Language—the language used to control spirits and perform multiple operations simultaneously. Not some GPU core nonsense.

The Filidia System Shiro had been developing hadn’t implemented it yet. He’d just written the specs and left it for later. It was a powerful feature—high on his personal priority list—but the sheer level of super-multiprocessing required meant it needed divine-level programming skill. Even Shiro couldn’t pull it off on a whim.

“With me, Shiro, and Shestia’s soul linked, using all the spirits together to activate the virus-removal spell in HLSL, the number of simultaneous processes should increase,” Mitoka explained. Then she added:

“Shestia’s core count exceeds ten thousand. Add my own core count as Spirit King, Shiro’s high consciousness level, and the number of advanced spirits we have, and for this simplified virus removal, I estimate each spirit and core can trigger the spell over a hundred times. That puts us at roughly two million simultaneous activations,” Mitoka elaborated.

“Wait—am I really the one with the lowest core count? And why the hell does Shestia have so many cores?” Shiro said, stunned.

“What’s a core count?” Shestia asked.

“Huh? Oh—well, basically, it’s how many things you can think about at once. Like, can you talk to three different people about completely different topics at the same time? Or draw a picture while chatting and thinking about something else in your head? Assuming you do all of it perfectly, of course.”

Shiro explained. Then he added:

“In magical terms, it’s the number of spells you can cast simultaneously. How many spells you can trigger at once… Oh, right—Shestia used multiple ice spells at once before, didn’t she?” Shiro suddenly remembered.

“Huh, I see. So you can actually increase the number of cores?” Sophia asked.

“Hmm, yeah. Innate capacity matters, but training’s possible too. If you consciously practice thinking and processing multiple things at once every day, it should register as a skill,” Shiro replied.

“Then it’s just the virus recognition. Is it like antigen-antibody recognition—three-dimensional protein identification?” Shiro wondered.

“No, Shiro. This virus is entity-ized,” Mitoka said.

“Wait—what? That means…?”

“Exactly. It’s an artificially created virus,” Mitoka said.

“Damn it…” Shiro fell silent.

“Shiro, something wrong?” Aria asked.

“Ah, no—removal isn’t the issue. The problem is that this virus isn’t natural. It was made,” Shiro said.

He decided right then that pushing the discussion further would get nowhere, so he shelved the matter for now.

“Anyway, no real problem. If it’s entity-ized, that actually makes things easier. Magical scanning and destruction should be straightforward,” Shiro said.

After that, Shiro turned his attention to the spell formula, and the group dispersed.
