第49掘:訓練相談 (Part2)
The Elder happened to call out to Nana, whom I had helped alongside Covil.
"I am going to discuss our future plans with Yuki-san and the others now. Please tell everyone else to stay quiet and behave."
"Yes, understood!! ...Um, are you Yuki-san?"
"...Oh? You figured that out? I thought you were unconscious when I was carrying you."
"A-ah, I can identify people by their magical signature!! T-thank you so much for saving me!! Your recovery magic felt so warm!!"
She thanked me with her face turning bright red.
"Wait, hold on. It was Rurua who performed the treatment, wasn't it?"
"Yes, Rurua-sama healed most of my injuries, but Yuki-san, you were continuously casting Regeneration on me, right?"
"Oh, she caught me."
"I knew it! Thank you so much!!"
"Nana, if you're done with your thanks, could you take care of what I asked earlier?"
"Ah, I'm sorry!! I'll go right away!!"
With that, Nana hurried off to relay the message to the rest of the Fairy tribe.
"Eris, where are the others?"
"They are currently gathered in Training Room A, holding a debriefing session."
"Then let's hold the meeting there as well. Elder, would that be alright?"
"Yes."
When I brought the Elder to Training Room A...
"Gaaah!! I didn't have time to take photos!! Please push that to tomorrow!!"
"Yes, yes, calm down, Ratz. We’ve set aside plenty of time tomorrow for things like that, haven't we? Tori, did you and your team have any issues?"
"No, the Fairy tribe members were cooperative, so there were no particular problems with the guidance or logistics."
"It’s amazing, isn't it? They’re constantly flying through the air using magic. I’ve seen them around town occasionally, but I never had a chance to talk to them."
"...My identity is crumbling."
The adults were chatting away like that, while the children were...
"They ate the rice balls so happily, didn't they?"
"Yes. The egg furikake was quite popular."
"It is delicious, after all."
They were having a heartwarming conversation.
Oh, Elju and Oriel are on standby, I see.
"Yo. Good work, everyone. In a way, this was a good rehearsal, wasn't it?"
"...Big brother, if you don't sleep next to me tonight, I won't be able to go on."
"For the time being, everything is proceeding without issues."
Ratz and Milly answered as representatives.
Well, Ratz is a bit of an outlier, though.
"I’ve brought the Elder of the Fairy tribe to discuss our future. I want to explain our plans and confirm if there are any issues from the Fairy tribe's perspective. Is that alright?"
"I think that’s a very good idea."
As Ratz answered, everyone else nodded in agreement.
"I am the Elder of the Fairy tribe, Narjia. I cannot express enough gratitude for you taking us in. If there is anything we can do to help with the future, please let us know. We will cooperate as much as possible. There are also a few things I would like to confirm."
"Alright, everyone take a seat. I’ll explain things to the Elder for now."
We spent about three hours going over the current situation and our future policies.
"...I see. This manual, and these training textbooks? They are magnificent. To even grant authority to use DP... you truly have no intention of establishing a monarchy centered around yourself, Yuki-san."
The Elder had grasped the gist of the explanation.
As expected, she’s no amateur.
"Yes, that is why I am participating as one of the basic administrators. Elder, if you are willing, I would like you to join our administration as the representative of the Fairy tribe."
"I would actually like to request that myself. If I were to be excluded and someone else was chosen from the current Fairy tribe members, it would likely cause problems. I don't know when the next election will be, but until then, I would like to serve as the representative."
"Then, I look forward to working with you. Now, for the next issue: the dungeon currently has very little money. Because of that, we are in a situation where we cannot pay for labor..."
"Regarding that, we are currently under your protection. Working for free for a while is not a problem. Besides, aid from the Kingdom of Roschur will arrive in five days, won't it?"
"Yes, that is the plan. But since it hasn't arrived yet, I cannot guarantee it."
"I understand. In that case, let us use the blacksmithing facilities and offer some of our products as a form of tribute. If you sell those elsewhere, I believe you will be able to earn a fair amount of money."
"I see, I see. Then, the next item..."
We continued to hammer out the fine details like that.
It’s 10:00 PM now.
Ah, this is going to go past midnight, isn't it?
"Big brother, what are you spacing out for!? I'll tackle you down!!"
I got scolded by Ratz.
Am I the one in the wrong here?
Regarding the "ellipsis" issue from last time, I received many opinions and have moved the discussion to the activity report and the prologue.
This chapter covers the realistic details that are usually skipped over in stories, lol.
But honestly, I found it fun to write.
How did you all find reading it?
