While I had no involvement in the method of intervention by the Alliance, it was a sound plan when I heard about it.
Upon intervention, new borders would be established based on each party's claims, and the border towns would be asked for their responses, which the Alliance would then record.
This would legitimize the border.
Since the enemy nation was also providing a response, any objection would further weaken their position.
The judgment of the border towns would vary, but unless there were extreme circumstances, they would not betray their homeland.
After all, they risked assassination.
Furthermore, if the enemy nation's towns were treated poorly, the Alliance might declare that they should be placed under the Alliance's protection. This would be an extremely disadvantageous outcome for a nation that had conquered enemy territory through war.
However, the objectivity of the process made it even more problematic.
The best they could do was to lodge protests and engage in political maneuvering, such as informing the three major powers beforehand.
The terrifying aspect of this situation was that, if mishandled, it could escalate into a great war where hostile nations would band together against the Alliance, splitting the continent in two.
Fortunately, Rumel, one of the remaining major powers, remained silent.
If they were to issue a summons, others would likely gather, but there were no such movements at present.
Given the scattered positions of the nations, it was likely they understood that they would be annihilated individually.
If there were any element of victory, they would have acted, but if such a thing existed, they would have already moved. And their trump cards were the heroes from another world.
There was no way they would lend a hand to something that would promote war. Especially with *that* around.
Moreover, it seemed *that* and the hero's party were busy exploring another continent, so they couldn't possibly get involved.
"It's good that things are being handled well on that front. So, while investigating and obtaining proof is all well and good, do the three of you have any suspicions about who might be pulling the strings, or who would be a likely candidate to become the leader?"
For now, I wanted to know which nations the three major powers currently considered dangerous.
"No. There isn't a nation that would openly pick a fight with Roschur."
"Nor with Litea."
"Gartz is the same. Frankly, any nation that doesn't understand what it means to simultaneously oppose these three major powers would have already been destroyed."
I agreed with that opinion.
However, the old man from Roschur continued.
"However, there is something strange."
"Strange?"
"Yes. There is a nation that complements Roschur, a nation of knights, by providing magic. A nation that specializes in magic to the point of being called a nation of magic. Yet, they are hesitant to join the Alliance. Especially when they aren't attacking anyone. Their leader, Lord Nonoa, is even called the God of Magic, and I acknowledge their magic. She is intelligent and a capable ruler. Yet, they are not part of this Alliance."
"Now that you mention it, my country also has something similar... but it's different. A nation that worships a beast god said to live in a certain mountain is refusing to join the Alliance, but that's likely for religious reasons."
"If that's the case, then as Gartz is known as the nation of the shield, there is a nation known as the sword, and they also are not participating in the Alliance. Well, they have many boastful warriors, so it's probably inconvenient for them to have war suppressed. I've also received reports that Lord Nogosh scowled when he heard about the Alliance."

While Dressa and the others were getting excited, Yuki was busy weaving a net of encirclement like this.
Also, Tanaka's party is currently caught up in various troubles on another continent.
Ah, we're going to do as we please, and Tanaka needs to make some progress too.
Especially for Tanaka, his story needs to catch up to Yuki's before we can merge.
Ah, this is my policy. It's fine to have Tanaka appear in Yuki's story, but it feels wrong to introduce him without writing his story first.
...I intended to write it with a different protagonist on a whim, but "Guaranteed Dungeon" has already been published, and Tanaka's country is clearly stated, so I can't pretend it didn't happen! It's a nightmare!!
If I have enough motivation, I'll resume "We're Doing as We Please" and "Level 1" around September.
Also, a small report.
Normally, the fifth volume would have been released in September, but due to some issues, it has been postponed to November.
I haven't heard the exact reasons, but it's probably my fault.
Those who know the relevant part of Volume 5 will understand...

I think it's because I requested illustrations of them.
14 people in wedding dresses is a nightmare, and I left the designs up to them.
Even I, who only does a bit of doodling, find it an incredibly difficult task.
I can't believe they'll finish it by November.
