Chapter 35 The Wall of "SSS"
To take down the four monsters causing massive destruction across multiple locations, I flew at high speed, focusing on fire magic—the most effective against undead—shooting it off in rapid succession.
"Thunder Flame!"
"Flame Dragon!!"
One after another, I unleashed fire magic, turning the dragon zombies into human torches. Even though their HP dropped to zero and they revived, they couldn’t rise a second time.

"Is that… magic…?"
The Self-Defense Force members, who had previously been utterly helpless against the monsters, could only stare in awe at the mage effortlessly defeating them.
The existence of mages was common knowledge among Self-Defense Force personnel—even if ordinary civilians didn’t know. After all, they’d even passed a law for one of them.
But seeing magic in person? Beyond imagination.
From that day on, more and more Self-Defense Force members began calling Gojo Shōmon “the Inferno Magician”...

"Alright! That’s it!"
After incinerating the final dragon zombie, I checked my status.

"Aaaah… no good…?"
My Monk level had maxed out, but my class skill rank wouldn’t go past "SS." The Monk class board only had seven slots, and this was the last one—meaning I couldn’t reach "SSS" anymore.
Growth varies by profession, so intuitively, it feels like you’d need eight to ten job boards just to reach "SSS."
"So thinking about it, only a few professions can actually hit 'SSS'... that’s it..."
I shrugged, resigned, and headed toward rescuing the injured.

Dawn was breaking, the sky faintly turning white, when the makeshift prime minister’s residence erupted in chaos. The building housed most cabinet ministers, including the prime minister himself.
Now, most of it was destroyed from the monster attack. A few had been rescued, but the prime minister hadn’t been found yet.
After frantic searching, when they finally located him, it was clear to everyone—though he was still breathing, he wouldn’t survive.
"Prime Minister!...Get him to a hospital, now!!"
I stopped the rescue team from loading him onto the ambulance.
"Wait—just a sec! I’ll fix him... bring him here!"
The rescue worker stared at me, stunned. Then, from behind, a furious voice barked.
"What the hell are you talking about?! This is life or death! Get out of the way, now!"
An old political grandee was yelling something pompous, but I ignored him and cast Healing Magic.
Light poured from my hands, enveloping the prime minister. His lower body was nearly crushed—yet, as if that fact didn’t exist, it snapped back into place completely.
If my Healing Arts hadn’t been at "SS" rank, I might’ve failed.
"What... what is this... is this really magic...?"
"But magic’s illegal by law! You didn’t get permission, did you?!"
"Unlawful act!!"
Even the Self-Defense Force officer was starting to babble nonsense.
I just kept going—helping the injured, the ones poisoned by the Dragon Zombie’s breath, not even caring about my own wounds.
As I healed the injured, lots of Self-Defense Force members stepped in to help. Thanks to them splitting up and carrying the wounded and sick, I managed to treat everyone efficiently.
A lot of people died... but I’m glad I did everything I could to prevent more casualties. Amid all that...
“Don’t move!!”
Cold gun barrels pressed against me from several Self-Defense Force members.
