The massive "pillar" spilling from the well towered over three thousand meters.
A pillar as tall as a mountain, it began splitting into six from the center. The broken sections became slender columns, falling earthward under gravity.
The thin columns snapped mid-air, then plunged straight into the ground like spears. Tremors shook across all of France, six impact points crumpling the earth, dirt and sand exploding into the sky.
From afar, it looked exactly like legs.
Six legs, shaped like a grasshopper’s hind legs. They tensed, gripping the ground, pulling something up from the central well.

An unknown hero, unseen in the footage, nameless to most.
The nameless hero who keeps fighting an enemy that can’t be defeated. Seeing that reality, people all over the world were about to give up—thinking this was their fate.

The Hydra’s full-force annihilation beam pierced Vishnu’s ankle joint. Even if it was huge, just one leg—attack still worked. The Hydra shifted the beam, expanding the area of annihilation further.
Finally, unable to bear the weight anymore, my leg snapped at the joint and came crashing down toward the ground. Dust erupted in a deafening crash.
Vishnu let out a huge scream.
First one! Shiva!!
The Flame Dragon King soared high into the sky, aiming for the left-center leg. Shiva's annihilating breath struck Vishnu's joint dead-on.
An enormous explosion rocked the area, embers of flame flying everywhere. But—
The joint in the leg was badly shattered, but not quite crushed enough. "Not enough?" I thought, when suddenly the Hydra surged upward toward it.
Light particles poured out from the Hydra’s body. It was almost gone. The three-headed dragon summoned its last strength, and only the rightmost head emitted a blinding light of dissolution.
The light struck the joint, the leg wobbled violently, then snapped sideways—crashing down to the ground.
The Hydra dissolved completely, vanishing into light.
"Second one! This settles it!"
I raised my hands in front of my chest, gathering light into a focused beam. Can't unleash this twice in a row. Have to wait a certain time after firing. One shot. One chance. Finish it—
"DRAGON BLAST!!!"
The beam shot straight forward, piercing through the joint of the right front leg. Damage was dealt—but not enough to make it fall. "Shiva!" I shouted, and the dragon roared back in response.
Shiva launched a fireball, fading into a soft glow. The final fireball struck the damaged leg of Vishnu and exploded.
When the third leg hit the ground, the massive "insect" lost its balance and tumbled headfirst. The thunderous impact shook the earth as Vishnu’s torso slammed into the ground.
Before Vishnu’s eyes, a Titan stood waiting.
"Go—!! TITAN!!!"
The giant swung his axe high with his right hand, stomping down with his left foot like a detonation. Then, with a single motion, he hurled the "Axe of Doom." The spinning blade struck Vishnu’s head dead-on.
The axe plunged straight through, cleaving from head to chest like a blade slicing through tofu. The path of the axe melted like magma, destroying every vital organ in its wake.
The Titan too ascended into the sky, fading into a faint light.
After all the summoned beasts vanished, only the figure of the "Leader," convulsing and gasping, remained.
"TEAM!!!"
An impossibly massive magic circle unfolded—Vishnu’s body dissolved into light… The Team's listboard etched the names of every monster felled.
I sank into the barren wasteland, nothing left around me.
